Said my Barkley MasterCard was suspended. I don't have any credit cards!

Scammers!

I received an automated message from this number reporting su****ious activity on my Mastercard. I ***g up and called the number on the back of my card to verify the message. The person wanted my password and SS# and then ***g up when I s****ed asking questions. I called a***n and the person on the other end of the phone said Mastercard had NOT called in regards to su****ious activities. Be very careful that the number you call is REALLY your credit card company. Apparently the bad guys have a way of re-routing calls from your credit card company.

Received call on cell phone. Recording said my Barkleys World Master Card may be suspended due to su****ious activity. Left callback number requesting I enter my credit card number. I do not have such an account. This is a scam trying to steal peoples financial information. I have read on other sites about the very same number calling countless people attempting to scam them. No one had reported it here yet so I thought I should help out. Dont be a victim to any of these types of scams. Never give out financial information over the phone or internet. Be cautious if shopping online. Educate yourself on internet security practices. Too many horrid scammers out there looking to get rich off of unsuspecting individuals unaware of how easy it is to have their lives disrupted in a major way.
