Do NOT give these people any information -- they pretend like you've bounced a check and then ask you for the checking information. They call themselves "Frontier Financial" (at least that's the name today) and they're affiliated with those fly by night loan companies that steal out of people's bank accounts, etc. Also, they will call you on a local number to make it look like their in your area (intimidation) -- I finally got them to admit that they didn't have an office in the city that they were pretending to call from....that alone should tell you everything you need to know.

A lady named Brianna called and asked for one of our employees. When i told her she wasn't available she asked for our fax number and mailing address so she could send a "job application". This company has called here numerous times.

Joseph is calling me too, from various places in NC; Charlotte, Durham, Raleigh. We are on the DNC list and I'm tired of getting several calls a day from this dip***

I received an automation asking me to call Joseph back at this number to verify some personal information.

I got a call at my job stating that i owed a check amount 3 years ago. After telling them that I paid that check they said to call them back tomorrow. I will not be calling anyone back. beware of scams

got the same call from  Joseph Frontier Financial group about having a check in his office i need to verify some info. you could tell it was a recording. the number called from was a local landline in wa state. said to return call to 8776835490. scam! beware!

I received a call that from 859-554-1825.  I did not answer because I did not recognize the number. When I listened to the voicemail, it sounded like an automated message from a guy named Joseph and he left a number to call back. It was 877-683-5490.  I do owe money to a check cashing place, but will not be calling "Joseph" back because I currently do not have the money to pay back.

I just got a call from Joseph stating that there is a check in his office that I need to verify. Got the number 866-683-5490 goggle it and found this site. So the low life scammer is been actively rea****g out thinking they can get someone get into there trap. I salute to all of you who have share there experience with the scam call, you are helping others informed and not to get into the scammer trap. God Bless You All..

Yup, I've received multiple calla as well from Frontier Financial Group in El Paso Texas and are asking us to call them back about a check they want me to cash. We've caught on folks, DON'T ever call someone back especially if you know you're not due any money from any source. Pass this forward, there has to be some governmental agency that is interested in these people. Pass my message on i"ll jump on board in a suit to stop them!!!!!

I have received an automated message twice this week from Frontier Financial Group stating they have a check for me that needs to be verified and to call and verifiy some information.  The number that comes up on my caller ID is an Idaho number 1-208-629-3362, but they ask that I call back at 1-877-683-5490 and ask for Joseph. I googled the toll-free number and this website came up.  Obviously, it is a scam and the only people I will be calling is my local BBB.  Hope this helps!

I have a recieved a call from this number 2 days in a row.. saying this is Mark from Frontier Financial Group and to give them a call.. Who are these ppl?

I also got a message from the same 614 number - 614-929-3449, asking me to call 877-683-5490, only this time to ask for Randy at extension 402.  This Randy spoke really fast and said company name was either FFG or SFG****ociates.I get calls from this 614-929-3449 at home and at work.

I got a message from someone named Joseph asking me to call him back regarding a check he has in their office, call back number 877-683-5490.  The incoming number is an Ohio "614" exc****e number, but when you call it back there is no answer.

They called and I called back. They were looking for a girl in our office who had written some bad checks. I told them she didnt work here anymore and to remove us from their call list.

I got a call from "Joseph from FFG...I called the number left which was Frontier Financial Group to see what it was about. He said there was a check in his office and to call him back. I Googled the company and couldnt find much except court dockets. I googled the number and found this website. Sounds like a scam to me. I dont even have a checking account anymore. And I never had a checkbook just the debit card.the number was 866 683 5490 and the originating call came form Florida 9545305794 I think. I was at work so not really sure but no one answered it. I am not afraid to tell it like it is.

I have been receiving phone calls from a 502-554-9301 number (which is a Louisville, KY number. I live in this area, so I was a bit concerned and decided to look the number up- turns out it has been involved in a lot of local scams). The caller then leaves an automated voice mail (on both my cell phone and work phone numbers) saying it is "Jim from FFG and that he needs to speak with me to verify information regarding a check I recently wrote" and to call him back @ 1-877-683-5490. I checked into this company and apparently it is a scam company that was previously involved in contacting people and telling them they had won a lottery or other money (I'm****uming their next step was to obtain bank info to deposit the money into). I guess now they have chosen to switch to verifying check info instead.

PEOPLE...IMPORTANT INFO ON FFG...PUBLIC DO***ENT...BBB ON FFG...UNAUTHORIZED DEBITS FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT AND OVERCHARGING...GO TO BBB.ORG AND READ IT YOURELF...BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THESE LOW LIFES FFG,THEY WILL WIPE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT ILLEGALLY...

Received same exact voicemail.I did not call the number back. Call originated in Boise, ID from a landline, and that's about all I can figure out.

I received a recorded message on my cell voice mail from "Julie" and SSG (or may have been FFG or SFG-couldn't hear it that well), saying I wrote a check and they need me to call to verrify my information for security reasons. Never heard of them or written a check recently.
