i'm in on this suit. this is BS, companies should not be able to send you a "have this service" type spam email that you have to OPTOUT of to not be charged, especially when you never opted in to begin with. i mean, really, how hard is it to write a simple java applet that enters random 10 digit numbers into those telephone# fields to sign people up for this BS automatically without the person ever even knowing it's happened? add to that we've all been conditioned to /not/ respond to spam...and bam. easy scam.

Same here. I noticed the pending charge. I had them cancel and credit the charge ASAP on the account.

I called sprint and they agreed to remove any charges--i just got duped by this sh*t on facebook today--and they turned off 3rd party premium service providers.  this does not affect android apps, just this kind of mischief.  huge props to sprint!

Call your phone carrier before the end of your billing cycle and have it remove asap! it is a scam.

A survey came up on facebook. I trusted it and filled it out. The next thing I knew I was getting txts from different numbers (i.e. 21500 and 70438). I though it was strange and immediately called my wireless carrier and ask for the customer service rep. to check my account for c****es. Indeed I had been signed up for a BS service without my knowledge with in ten minutes of doing the survey my account had been charged. I had him cancel the charges and service. It is a scam. I didn't even both to call the 187770***75 number. Just call you carrier as soon as you suspect a problem.

This is a internet scam that bilks hard working people out of their money. I got a rediculous charge on my Verizon bill for almost ******cks for some ****** quiz I did on-line, with know idea that I was subscribing to anything. Well I say *uck'em, I'm not paying it, and i would urge everyone else not to pay them either. Let them sue me, I am an attorney and we will all file a class action suit.

I got a text message from 72449 along with this 877 number.  I texted Stop and send it to 72449.  I received a confirmation from Clever Chalkboard Mobile Quick Club (*** is that?) that they won't send any more text msgs.  will see how that works.

It's a company called Mobile Media Solutions. I don't know how or why they got my number because I never gave it to them and I'm not the type to take online IQ tests. When I called, they said someone else must have entered my number by mistake. Their service representative was rude, but at least she gave me a cancellation number and placed me on their block list.I'd recommend calling, because I've heard that receiving the texts means you'll be charged $9.99/month on your wireless bill. And who wants to pay these scam artists for harassing you? Certainly not me.

I've gotten a text message with a 4 digit number. And I will be charged a fee for i do not have texting service.!!!

Yes, Stop the calling.   This is a place trying to sell a download.   We have gotten texted from this number 6 nights in a row at 11:00 pm or later.    Stop them from texting us.

Got 4 texts in the last hour on Sept 7, 2010. I am on the do not call list. I will prosecute when I find these guys.

These people have messaged me 5 times in 2 hours using short code 41933. Called my carrier (Sprint) and was told that I needed to send a message to 9999 saying block and then the short code and number. I got a message saying that this short code is now blocked. Hope this helps everyone block these unwanted messages.

Just c****ed my phone number. Apparently the person who had the number before me signed up for so****ing. I called the (877)707-1775 number and asked that they remove me from their list. They said OK, and I've gotten 5 texts since they said they removed me. This is really annoying! Anyone know who it's from?

unfortunately I was attempting to create my own ring tone, I submitted my mobile number to a website and am now being inundated with annoying text messages. I believe the call center for this company originates out of India, (judging from the accent of the company representative I spoke with) the web site address is: http://www.funtonia.com/phones/Fly/. So...great they now have my number and I am going to attempt ot block them from my phone, if I am unable to do that, I may end up c****ing my number.

Keep getting text messages talking about winning... has this number listed.

I've gotten 3 of these tonight. I'll register a complaint on the do not call list.
