I've had more than 20 calls in the past two days. For the most part I ignore them, but I answered the last one. ***ody there! I waited long enough for an auto-dialer to transfer to a human, but nothing. The line just cut off.I believe it is a telemarketing company hired by one of the political parties regarding the up coming election. It is invasive, rude and extremely irritating. If I find this is a political party I will make sure every news network in this country is given photographs of my call display and recording of this nonsense. The fact that they are not even on the phone to talk to you is a complete lack of respect for our privacy.

Ya, interesting to read of your receiving these calls too. I got two the other day; ***g up when I answered. I'm a member of HEU, a hospital union, in BC Ca***a. Thanks Abbytisha, Scott, Dolly, WPG, etc.

It is a commonly used number that is used for all kinds of union members, mine was from HEU hospital union. which I do belong to, but it was for a rally in Wisconsin and I live in British Columbia Ca***a!!! yeah I'll be there, lol!

I am a member of COPE.  They called to tell me about a rally for workers in Wisconsin???

It's Strategic Communications. They're a call center and polling company that work for the NDP and other non-profit types. There's an election coming.

They called me 6 times tonight...up until 9:00 PM.I blocked the number....We should be able to report them to someone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is Strategic and communication company that works for the non profit sector. So it might be any non profit organization using those guys to do their communication calls, like political parties....etc.

The call today was an automated message from COPE 378, of which I am a union member. Interesting & annoying that they use a commonly used automated call-out number/service. (I don't know how it works)

I am on a do not call list, so these idiots should not be calling.  I did not pick up as I didn't want to get into it with the ****s.  They call all the time.

Not sure who they were calling for. Received 6 calls today alone from this number - all of which results in a "click". ***ody on the other end. When I called the number back an answering ma****e identified themselves as "Strategic Communications Fund Raising and Polling Company". It said if I left a name and phone number they would remove me from the list - but I am afraid to leave a phone number with them as that may just validate it (I starred 67 before calling) and introduce me to more calls. Very frustrating.

I get this one almost daily. I heard somewhere that it was some kind of political lobbying for CUPE, but I'm not sure if that's correct.

It was UNICEF calling me... asking for money and they knew my name... now Im trying to figure out if it was really them.

This number keeps trying to reach me, I make a practice of not answering numbers i do not know, anyone know who this is?

Yes, when I see 877/888 on my display, I never answer.  But this guys were supposed to be stopped by the telephone companies.
