Leave a CommentA message and audio came on telling me my laptop was infected with 53 viruses and that I had to call this number immediately to remove them before I shopped online. I was on Kaspersky's secure sight when this came up so I immediately checked this for a hoax. Going to remove Kaspersky and install a stateside anti virus program.
DO NOT ANSWER THIS
This number popped up on my roommates computer screen and froze her computer. She called it and they kept her on the phone over an hour pretending to be techies and wanted her to send a check for $300 to offer security from hackers.
Called my sister, skip traced her, said that she's going to be arrested....had her ssn and all....for a bill to a company she owes no money to and has never heard of.
