These guys were calling me about an account that was real old. You can't expect me to pay for so****ing from 5 years ago!!!  I tried talking to them but they didn't seem to get it.  I googled their company name "Global Credit" and found their website. I sent a request to stop bugging me.  A manager called me back a couple dayslater and told me they were closing my account.  The website is http://www.globalcollection.net

I got a call from these guys this morning.Apparantly I owe 4**$ or so****ing...They couldn't tell me where this amount came from an/or issued from what store.Funny thing is, when I got my mortgage 3 years ago, I had to clear all debts pending in collections etc...Everything has previously been settled... They're not getting a dime from me.I also called the original credit company for whom they were calling on behalf and they had no record...I haven't had a call like this in 3-4 years... and then out of the blue...

I just got a call from this number.  The msg kept saying, if we are not the person to **** up.  But if we are, we needed to call this number back. Thanks for the info I appreciate all of you who post.

She said she was calling from Global Credit CollectionsOur household gets a ma****e-recorded message 5-6 times a week.When I press 9 to get information, the person that finally picks up refuses to give any information, refuses to cooperate in resolving the situation. I asked them to give info about the company they represent in order for us to resolve and/or stop calling and they PUSH IT  to the extent where they will NOT CLOSE THE PHONE.The "agents" degrade and basically HARRASS a household.They should be put out of business.

I keep getting blank air messages from this number - if they don't stop i will be calling the police for harassment.

This number is from Global Credit & Collection (in Montreal, Qc, Ca***a), they are a collection agency. Although they represent themselves as agents working for whatever ins***ution is owed a debt. In our case it's a debt (of approx. 500$) that dates from more than 6 years ago, which we tried at the time to resolve with the bank in question. We were told that they no longer held that file and it had gone to a collection agency, hence the agent in question misrepresented herself as an agent of the bank. She would not give me the name of the company she worked for as she wanted to speak to my wife, even though I had added my wife to this account which was in my name, after we got married. I told her she was a collection agency and that my wife had already sat through the robocall and told the woman that they were a collection agency and that their time for legal action had lasped and that the damage to her credit score was done. The "agent" said that this was the first time that they had called (this is a BOLDFACED lie), and asked if I knew the repercussions of lying to her in a recorded call, and that I couldn't refuse to let her speak to my wife, which I wasn't, she was at work. So I had my wife call her back at the number she left 514-282-3779, and got an answering ma****e in which the "agent" gave her name and the company she works for. My wife left a message informing her that when she calls back we would like to know her licence number and the licence number of her company, and that after we had verified who they were, we need to see the original contract that makes up the alleged debt that the collection agent is collecting.
