You get what you pay for or less. There are not miracles. The WSJ offers are in the the sub ******ttle range and that is how the wine tastes. It is not a bar***n IMHO.
Their "malbec and more" offering was wonderful. We enjoyed every bottle we opened. Try Geerlings & ***e, they are OUTSTANDING!
it is the WSJ wine Marketing Dept
Agreed.. Not "ba*****t" wine but basically an easy way to try a variety of bottles in the 10-15 dollar range (with some, slightly nicer exceptions). Can be hit or miss but the same goes for the 10 dollar rack at my local grocery store...
I wouldn't call it ba*****t wine, but it certainly isn't top notch either. I've found it drinkable at least and different from the boring lot that resides at the grocery and liquor stores.
I've asked to be taken off the WSJ wine club call list twice and it hasn't worked yet. Today I submitted a violation report in an attempt to stop them.
I have been very impressed with the quality of each and every bottle of wine I have received in my shipments. Surprised to read your post.
WSJ Wine was so horrible I told these guys to put me on their DNC. It was ba*****t wine that couldn't be sold anywhere else.
