I also got a bill from my phone company for WEB ACCESS 1.0 minute.  Billed $37.28 from MCI. I found out from AT&T this was a charge from my computer and I have no idea how it was done.  Also found out that even if you block 900 calls on your phone it does not apply to the internet.  I asked to speak to a supervisor with MCI and she said she would remove it from my bill within 7-10 days.I put a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission- 1 (877) 382-4357.Also with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) http://complaint.IC3.gov/update

I have At&T with a charge from MCI for 34.95 (total 37.57) for 1-900-990-2856, They gave me the same runaround as Mary H on 12-5-2007. I called MCI the day after 2 more calls were made from this #, but MCI said there was only the one charge. That same day I put a 900/976 call block on my phone. -- Just got my new bill with the extra 2 calls on my bill.MCI told me this 900 phone # belongs to Rob Veno Sports & Information Center, which is located in Tamarak, FL. The MCI rep said this is a phone # that people call to get a "forecast" on sporting events for the purpose of placing bets. -- It is an internet access # that anyone could call and put any telephone # down to get transferred to Rob Veno. I was told it will take 3 to 4 months to get these charges off of my bill. Lets see what happens.

Our Verizon bill has a call to 900-990-2856 made on 12/14 for 1:00 to WEB ACCESS.  Billed for $34.95 plus tax from MCI.  This call was never made from our phone.

900-990-2856, this number is on my November phone bill with a charge of $34.95 and with tax is 37.66, it shows as 1 minute call to WEB ACCESS. It is billed by MCI. MCI said if I would sign up to be a MCI member all I have to do is sit back ???? hum!

was also charged $34.95 for 1 minute of so called WEB ACCESS on Nov. 2007 billing from MCI via Verizon. No way this call could have been made by no one at home and phone line unplugged from computer at the time of this call!!! This is outright fraud B.S.!!!
