Same message about some relative who owes money and he's trying to extort it from me. A INDIAN (India etc) it laughable I just reported him along with his phone number (John Brown another bogus name) to the FTC

Hi I have the same guy Kevin Smith and he keep calling my job, its a 901 area code, it is embarassing because he calls at work...when i called back the number is not a valid number...any idea what that call is?

SCAM SCAM SCAM.  Do not give these people any money.  Immediately file a complain with your attorney general and FTC.  Next time they call tell them you have filed a complaint and to not call you ever a***n.  Usually once they find out you know they are a scam they will quit calling until they call a***n with another fake officer's name.

This phone number has been called me everyweek and said I own the Quick Cash Advance and if I pay him $446.21, he will not sue me in court.  I asked hime, "Do you have record that I owe the money with any company" and he said he has no record of it.  I called my attorney office and they advised me to tell him to send evidence and I will look into it.

Got  a call today from this officer david adams claiming to be from th bureau of criminal investigation. Had my name and social...... and wanted money. Even had a case number and said a law suit will be filed.... Same office called about 5 months ago.. Is it a scam...

This is the second time I've received a call AT MY WORK (which is a government office) from "Officer Kevin Smith" with some sort of Indian accent claiming that I'm involved in a criminal complaint.  The first time, he said he was calling from the Bureau of Investigations and now this time he said he was calling from the Office of Criminal Identification.  Like others, the scary thing is that he states the last 4 digits of my social.  The first time he called and I spoke with him, I explained that he is calling a private, government office telephone number.  He seems not to care as I do believe that he, and others like him with ill intent, are most likely overseas and know (or think) that they can't be touched.  He called a***n just now, but I was apparently away from my desk, as I just listened to a voicemail from him.

this is another in a series of calls I get about every 4-6 months. Caller ID puts it as 268-0006, but he wants me to call 901-290-7208. Usually it is an Officer Nick, but today was John Brown, of course with an Indian accent, says that I have been named in a criminal lawsuit, that I need to call back.  This is a scam, and after a year of receiving calls, blocking the numbers, they keep calling. It is scary that they do have the last 4 digits of my social, I have tried calling the District Attorneys office and unfortunately they cannot do anything because the calls are originating overseas.Very frustrating!

My wife got the same call last night.  what is weird is it does not sound like they are asking for money. But my wife could not understand him and he said you'll be arrested in 5 minutes.  Freeky.

I got a call from 812-314-7082 and when I called the phone company they said that they don't have a listing for that number, the person that called said his name was Officer Frank Martin and to have a person call him back at 901-290-7208 and when you call the number back it says all circuts are busy. I don't know who this is but it is scary.

Ignore them.  The are scam artist.  Just type the number in google and read all the comments.

Keep getting voice messages from some arab guy who says he;s from criminal investigation threatening me too call back or else but I don't. how do i find out where he is calling from?  He did have my SS#.  Scary creep!!!!!!

Got multiple phone call from a guy who called himself Shaun Brown. My name (not even my name) is supposedly on a case file for a friend. I am supposed to call back urgently before so****ing happens to me.

I got a call from this phone number claiming they were David Evans with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation saying that i needed to call them before so****ing bad happens to me.  I got the same type of message from 626-723-3133 from an Officer Ian Haskey with UMLD (same think middle eastern accent with horrible English) talking about a lawsuit that involved me and that i needed to contact him immediately.

This David Adam call me to 3 times and also called my work and also sent a letter to my work. This guy said the same thing but he had all the right info on me but I called the company he said he was tring to get the money for and they said they never heard of them.

I keep getting calls from this number.

This company keeps calling my job, My job told them not to call back and they told them that they are a criminal investigation bureau and will continue to call. They will not acknowledge who they represent
