My daughter came home from work yes****ay crying and scared out of her mind because she received a call at her job from this Department of Crime Prevention Investigation. The caller stated that his name was Alex Ferguson. (Indian Accent) Stated that my daughter owed money for a pay day loan she never received. They had all her personal information and verified it over the phone to her. She being scared by what they had told her gave them her personal account info and a copy of her Drivers License per their request. She wanted to keep her credit record straight so she was willing to settle and keep the information quite...Big mistake....Needless to say she told her momma and I got on the phone and asked to speak with the supervisor in charge, Jason ***t(Indian Accent) He got very irritated at me and said I don't like the way you threatening me.  I also was telling him that it was a scam and asking him all kinds of questions. He kept saying he spoke with my daughter earlier then she said I did not speak with you but Alex...same like the same person to me trying to role play..It's time to exposed these devils and others like them. I have been receiving very harassing phone calls from a man who claims to be working for the Department of Crime and Investigation in Florida. He has a very thick accent and he is accusing me of owing ***dreds of dollars to a payday company. He says if he is not paid, I will be served papers by a county employee. He told me the only way to pay was to purchase pre-paid cash cards from Wal-Mart totalling over $1000.00.

I have been getting calls from these people for months now, I have filed harassment charges with the police dept and they are just very persistent! The detective was able to verify that it is a scam by the number. They stopped for a few months, and now they are back at it! It is ridiculous!!!

I have been getting calls like this since November of last year.  All have heavy accents and claim to be from investigation offices.  PLEASE, be aware that these people are dangerous and have the ammunition and information to RUIN your life.  I havd to c****e all my banking information.  I had to visit my HR office and inform them of the situation as well as my boss.  I had to sign up for LIFE LOCK who 2 weeks after had activity on my name.  They tried to clean out my bank accounts.  PLEASE DONT FALL for this scam!  I have reported it to local and other authorities who state there is nothing they can do.

i got that call too! same thing...loan for $500 a year ago from fast cash. i verified with my bank it wasnt true and my bank actually called him, alex fergison (this month) from dept of criminal investigations, while i was on conference, and he actually told my bank rep my account#! he even called my mom, my aunt, me and my husband! Very rude, strong accent! now i have to close my account and open a new one! the police wont do anything! his call back number he gave was 9043358147 ext 1011cant beleive there isnt anything we can do about this obvious scammer!

It's a debt collector.

man with a heavy accent keeps contacting my work and stating that i took a loan from a company(in which i did not) and if this isnt settled, i will be taken to court. very threatening and very rude. stated his name was Allen Jones from the dept of crime and investigation, ext 1040.
