Funny how debt collectors have no idea what is contained in the fair debt collections act or whatever it is called. they can keep calling I will keep refusing to identify who I am and logging the harassing words they use and then file my lawsuit. I am sure they won't send anyone to court and I will win by default. Easy Money as usual.

It's a scam. They said I owed money but couldn't tell for who. Than wanted birthday and SS# number to make sure they had right person. Sure let me get that right to you.

Calls my job identifying as a "Mr. Cole" or a "Robert Cole". No clue - had to get firm with him today as I am not whoever he seems to be looking for. The secretary at our job forwards the call because we have similar names. Interestingly enough there is a Robert Cole on the Registered sex offenders list in Florida, what this number's caller ID seems to be calling itself. I certainly hope they don't have this fellow working for them, whoever they are. Must be a scam - calling someone's business like that.

Got a call from 904-562-6655 today. The message stated they were a debt collection company and wanted to settle an account belonging to my ex-girlfriend. She and I never had joint accounts, so I'm a bit puzzled why they would call me or how they got my phone number. If I had to guess, I would say they acquired her phone records and are calling the numbers in order to get a message to her. Interesting tactic.

This type of thing is strictly a scam. Threats of court action if a late payment is not received usually are the norm - but not always. I have even received a reference code I must use upon contacting them. Strangely (sarcasm) the code meant nothing upon my calling back. They try hard to find out who I really am.Whether by Email or by telephone this is a somewhat new or at least renewed scam where people are frightened into paying a bogus claim. Some have web pages that have no links - always a warning sign.Keep in mind that phone numbers are easily spoofed - a major flaw in the system - as are Email addresses. These scams DO work because eventually millions of messages are sent out and even at the expected 0.04% normal success rate, that can add up to hundreds of thousands of scammed dollars.

Some dude left his name about five times but never once said who he was calling from. He mentioned that he was calling about my file. If they are a collection agency, are they not bound to ID who they work for?

They also called again a few minutes ago.Well, if it is a collection agency, there isn't much I can do right now. My husband works everyday but his boss is way behind on paychecks.The ecomomy totally sucks and not a thing to do about it.

Who the hell are these people calling from 10 different numbers over a five day period?

I see by the other postings that's it some sort of bottom feeder collector. Caller ID says "Florida." If I don't recognize the number, I don't answer the phone. If it's important, then they can leave a message!!!

Central Credit Services Company is a company of cheaters and Liars. Robert Quinn, a.k.a. nobody knows his real name, their supervisor or manager is a con artist. It is really amazing that Capital One, Wells Fargo, GE using their services or even selling or buying anything from them.

They have called our home several times now. last week, they were asking for me, now they are asking for my boyfriend. Says there is a CC judgement against him for $49.95. Problem is, we have never had a CC. OOPS their error. I was so ****ed that I told her something I would never say out loud, but I think she got the point.

This dude called and not knowing the number I let it ring. He left a message saying that it was important that I call back about an appointment and it was not a solicitation. Wtf? Where did this dude get my cell number from?

Company called claiming to represent Central Cedit Services. Said name was "alex johnson". Was to call regarding an outstanding debt that does not exist.  This is a scam artist company! beware!!

I got a call from 904-562-6655. They are a collection agency for Capital One Credit Cards. So if you owe money on a Capital One Bank, that's why they're calling you!

these people are credit collectors.  They are trying to collect money from a relative of mine and probably found the similar name and are harrassing me.They've told me 3 times they've removed me from the list, and they are nasty.  I said ok Miss, she said Don't call me Miss I'm an operator.I guess if I had a job like that I'd be nasty too.

Someone called from phone number 1-904-562-6655 today, asking to speak to my partner (for the sake of narrative clarity, let's call my partner Edward). My partner wasn't in town and when I asked what this was in reference to, the representative told me that he could not divulge that information.  I replied that I would forward the message to Edward but that I hardly thought that he would return the call without first knowing what this phone call was in reference to.  At that point the representative from the collection agency started verbally lambasting me, accusing me of only pretending not to be Edward, -told me to be a man and to stop hiding behind the anonymity of a phone number. This representative was rude and totally out of control.  I called the collection agency to complain but they would not deal with me since federal law prohibited them from speaking about this matter with anyone other than the particular “Edward” about whom they had made the initial phone call.  I then called Edward, my partner; he called them and was able to demonstrate to the collection agency that they had called the wrong Edward, and further requested that our phone number be removed from their calling list.  Subsequently, I called the agency several times, finally spoke to a representative with whom I could discuss this matter, and attempted to obtain the name of the person who had called me.  My intention was to file a formal complaint with the agency.  They would not provide me with the name of their representative who had called me.  They did however apologize and agreed that the situation between me and their representative had escalated beyond acceptable business protocol.   If my phone call incident with this agency is in any way indicative of the type of treatment that their intended callers receive, then this agency truly needs to be reigned in by some federal agency that monitors this type of inappropriate business practice.   There are laws that protect consumers from this kind of harassment.

I got a call from this today too. Didn't recognize the number, sent to my voice mail. The person left a message that was about 10-15 minutes of what sounded like a call center and then spoke so fast through the message that I couldn't understand most of what she said. Did not mention the name of the company calling. Sounds suspicious to me.

If these numbers have been reported, why aren't  the authorities doing something about it?  We get calls from them occasionally too, and they never leave a message. There's enough stress in todays life without being subjected to jerks like that....if they worked a REAL job they would be too tired to play phone games! Hope they catch them and give them lots of "free time" in jail to play with toy phones all day!

Called and got my husband. Told him I'd spent $1600.00 at Sears and they had a judgement that I owed a total of $2700.00. Only problem- I've never had a sears cedit card nor have I spent that kind of money of anything at Sears. I've bought all our appliances at Lowes and paid by debit card. Husband freaked and told them he knew for a fact that I'd not bought anything as Sears which is over 200 miles from our farm....they said they would never stop calling. I don't even know their name or address to fight this crap!
