Trying to scam craigslist people. I got a text asking if my “item” is still available. I responded “No Nigeria” because scammers wanting me to ship to their traveling student in Nigeria... Anyway, glad I found this site. Google Voice has given scammers new options with the ability to create a US number for free and text using google.com/voice.

I received a text asking if an item I had listed on craigslist was still available. They said they'd pay my full asking price (I had it listed at a price OBO) plus shipping and wanted to know if they could pay with paypal. I wasn't comfortable with that and told them that if they really wanted it I'd list it on eBay and they could purchase it there. They didn't want me to do that, so that's that. I don't know that they are scammers, but it felt very fishy to me.

I received a text strange text saying, "can't get you," followed 6 minutes later by "do you have any item available for sale." Then 9 hours later I got cursed for not responding. - I'm guessing it's some sort of scam.
