Leave a CommentThank you so much for your comments. I got the call this morning... and was given the same story as George, LG, Lynn....(905) 754-5163 Ext: 1126175 Hwy 7Unit 6WoodbridgeL4H 0P6Hwy 7 & 27 Major Intersection.I got the same story that we must have entered a ballot in April ... a long time ago...at one of the popular malls of course you don't remember. It was a long time ago. Company is Premium Incorporated website is www.pbcinc.ca. No obligation no presentation is the sales pitch. They say that all you need to do is bring 2 pieces of photo and name ID give it to the receptionist with the gift claim number that the Sr. manager-- Whose name by the way is Paul Stevens... has given you and you'll be shown the 5 prizes mentioned above you'll draw for one and you'll be given the prize. No hassle no problem. He said it could take anywhere from half an hour to 90 minutes... totally up to you. Refreshments will be served. They try to legitimize their pitch by "reading you the back of the ballot"-- Married?- Between the ages of 27-65?- Address ?-- well they gave an old address of which we had not lived in for 9 months. And they didn't know my first name.. weird... and the last name they had didn't match the name registered to the phone company. Someone is selling info to these companies. Outdated info at that. Thanks for saving me the trip to Woodbridge. We could withstand the presentation and tactics but I have a better way to spend my Sa****ay Morning... without the pressure and threats. In peace. Website is ***ue, and I couldn't find anything on the Better Business Bureau website. Thank you for putting in the time to make comments here. This is a scam because we know that we make a point of not entering into any contests at malls. And we wouldn't want any of these varied prizes... Furniture... trip to Niagara Falls...Laptop...1500$ cash.
I got the same call from a John Michael at 8am who told me about the same prizes. He couldn't verify were I filled out the ballot he kept saying it was filled out in April (like people print the date on these things). He passed me on the his "manager" named Sean Ricardo. I asked for the website and felt it was ***ue. Both men had heavy East Indian accents. At first I was going to go but then discussed it with some friends. After reviewing this site I called back to cancel my appointment. The person on the phone wouldn't let me and was trying to sell me so ******* why I should check them out. I told him flat out I did my research and you guys are selling time shares. I kept asking me where did I hear this and I told him check the internet on what people are saying about your company. I also said if you're a legit business why is there not an address on your website. He was saying oh well we're new to Ca***a. I told him save your breath because it doesn't matter what you say I'm no longer interested and take my name off your call list. I also told "Mr.Ricardo" that the fact you are trying so hard to convince me that you are a legit company is a red flag to me. Beware folks.
They called me today at 8am. Same sh***l. I asked the guy if he knew what time it was? He told me he thought it would be best to call at 8am since he tried to reach me yes****ay between 11am and 1pm. A) I was home. B) I have call display. No one tried to reach me. I was given a number to call back, with an extension. I was told "don't bring money or credit cards. It is absolutely free. This is not a time share either." He did say "You are both between 35 and 65 and you both work." All I said was "go on." We are number 48 out of a list of 60 winners. I have no idea where they got our info since we aren't mall shoppers and he said we filled out a yellow paper in a mall. BEWARE EVERYONE. (Accent was East Indian but the name he gave was not.) This guy/company are liars.
Just to add another episode to this forum,We just recieved a call from a "Mike Tyminski" (-a***n with a heavy accent ) from "Premier Source Incorporated". I love how they c****e their name slightly every time-You dont think people are going to notice?? He said they were a company in America and are new to Ca***a.He advertised the exact same prizes as the above posts- flat screen tv, 17" laptop, 3 nights in Niagara Falls, furniture, $1500 cash. I asked where he recieved this 'ballot' with my name on it; and he basically named off every business in Ontario! He gave the same address as well-****5 Hwy 7 unit 6 in Woodbridge. I told him I was going to speak to my husband and he said to call back tomorrow---we definitely are not going to this becuase we know that we never filled out any ballots during the months that he said.Everyones posts above also validated any concerns that we had-so thank you!
Thank you all, esp George for the above info. Just had my call earlier tonite from them - same MO, same address, even same guys. Using English names with those accents is dumb - and should scream SCAM atcha right away. My guys used Jeff Jordan and Kevin Martin - lol. Anyways, they still at it from****5 Hwy 7 E, unit 6. Thanx for saving me the trip and the BS. Peace....
I guy just call me from Ontario Source, telling me I won one of five prices, $1500, as living room set, 42" tv, or a trip to Las Vegas, he had a very heavy indian accent and gave a confirmation #, he said it would not cost anything and that I had to come with my husband...I don't have a husband, but I did not tell him that. I asked if I could bring my daugher and he said that no, I could not bring her...because only the winners were invited and the ceremony would take about 60 to 90 mins. Thas was strange to me and it sounds like a scam. The address they are giving is****5 Hyw 7 #6 in Woodbridge, ON. I spoke to a Michael Jean, which is hilarious because he has such a heavy accent. PEOPLE BE AWARE OF THESE SCAMS...I will report this to crime stoppers, but I don't have a good feeling about it and I am not going.
Same thing happened to us. We just came back from the "gifting ceremony". We were there from 6:45 till 9 pm. We were paired with a representative for 20 minutes, making small talk, asking us about our vacation history etc. Then followed a 30 minute presentation, followed by buffet dinner. They refused to give us the price of the membership. We ate beforehand and thus chose to have a smoke break instead (the representative was a little nervous as she probably thought we were going to leave LOL).We came back and were sat at the table with the rep who presented us with a folded sheet, that outlined all the deals. When she unfolded the paper it finally showed the price... - $21000! for 49000 points for 49 years. Holly ****! We refused. The rep got up and was replaced by one intimidating dude in gl*****, hands covered in jewelry and an apparent "***e finger". He dismissed our concerns over the huge expense - a***n, $21000 at 21% interest! That's $1500 paid on the spot, followed by $580/month for 60 months. Insanity. We refused. The dude left and was replaced by one of the seminar presenters. She acted very nice and understanding, i.e "boy, do I know how you feel! That's a lot of ca*** So I want to offer you a better deal. Only $7999 for 25000 points for 49 years. And I will talk to Damian (the intimidating dude) and get you 0% financing for the first 24 months." Bla-bla-bla. We stepped aside to deliberate. It sounded good but... we were hesitant. We came back and refused. The lady was replaced by another guy - "from the corporate office" - who offered us $4800 package for 5 years with only 10 weeks of vacation. We refused. Then ANOTHER guy showed up and slashed that offer in half to $2800. We refused and they swiftly sent us away to the "prize claim room." We picked a ticket from a raffle box. The numbers did not match the top 5 prizes that they advertise. thus we were given a choice of either a week at Cancun or Orlando. We picked Orlando ($14 processing fee). We will use the trip within a year and will let you know whether we had to sit through another seminar in Florida! LOLReply !
Oh the Premium Buyers Club...I can always expect a call from you!Yes, they have been calling me since October 2009 to come to their 'headquarters" at 1510 Drew Road (Mississauga) to claim one of the *5* fabulous prizes just waiting for me to pick up! Wow, I somehow even entered into a draw at a "retail location" "months ago" and that all I have to do is leave my wallet at home and come on down to pick up my prizes! WOW!So, I did lots of research (because obviously they have scammed more than just 1 person) and as luck would have it: THEY'VE BEEN DOING IT TO 1,000'S OF PEOPLE! Please, don't go there. They just want to sell you a timeshare and their HIGH PRESSURE HARD SELL is hard for some people to resist. It's not worth it. I've heard stories of the people that work there being very threatening if you don't purchase one of their 'packages.' I have already collected at least 5 of their phone numbers and contacted Crime Stoppers and the BBB. Hopefully we can all put a stop to these people once and for all.
We got a call, very persistent East Indian Man. Told us we'd won $1500 cash or a ***nd new top of the line HD TV... I kept asking where'd you get my #? He kept getting annoyed, so I kept asking! LOL He must have thought I was going (idiot) so he gave me the address 1050 Drew Road Unit # 6 Mississauga ON... Premier International is what they were called this time. He's called back 3 times more. I am not that curious, thank you very much. Don;t need your "furniture"...
Alex is right - the earlier comments re Premium Buyers Club are themselves a scam. The bad spelling and grammar are a common give away.
No one is on the line.
I don't know... no offence but you two sound like a scam to me. You work for the Premium Buyers Club?
An agent called me in the morning and said i have won a prize !!! you don't need to buy anything to get my prize !!!! but when i went to Premium Buyers Club i liked the presentation about furniture and i bought. Its not our waiste of time like previous. Thanks.
Some one called and said you have won a prize, i really wonder that where i filled a coupn.i thought so****ing scam, but when i went to premium buyers club, i really enjoyed presentation, and i got a prize for free.i thought its a time share place but it was not.thank God
Hmmm.. they called a***n. This time at 12:30 PM. I wasn't home (unfortunately) but I"m hoping they'll call a***n so I can give them a piece of my mind.
A guy with a THICK (!!!) East Indian accent was saying so****ing. All I understood was "I'm not trying to sell you anything". I told him that it's way too early to make this sort of a call (8:30 AM) and that I wasn't interested and ***g up.
