Leave a CommentBeware!!There is A LOT of noted criticism of Primerica and the way it operates. Search online and you'll see. Some have called it a pyramid scheme - plus, isn' it a little su****ious that a VP is doing telemarketing?Look a little deeper - do some research and then decide for yourselves.Just be cautios and skeptical - there is no such thing as a free lunch.
Too funny - I just popped back here this morning to follow up, and I see all this. Nathan - the biggest difference between PFS and these MLM compnies is that in Primerica you must get a license issued through the government to distribute product. Registered products are a far cry from MLM. In other companies you have tp purchase the product to resell it. I can't buy an RSP and then resell mine to you. As we straighten out the facts, Primerica is a giant, a leader both in Ca***a and globally in Term insurance, debt consolidation and various investment products. Any comparrison to a company that is not a financial service company is invalid. Peach - great question - talk to the person training you - infact, they'll outline things to you very clearly, better than I can do on the web. Nathan - I know how you feel, that's similar to how I felt, what I found was that there was no subs***ution for going in for an interview, getting the actual facts, seeing the numbers, and asking questions. Making****umptions and guessing over a system that has made literally tens of thousands of "independant representatives" financially free isn't fair. Unfortunately you don't know enough about this business (you clearly know a lot about the industry you specializee in) to pass judgement or make comparrisons. The fact you mentioned that representatives become clients is a funny thing - most of our clients become representatives!! We just brought my uncle into the company - He was a CFA (not corn flakes though!! LOL!!) We sat in his house last week, he loved what the company does, he took advantage of some investments and figured who could manage his money better, me or him??? This is the opportunity of a lifetime if dome right Peter. Do follow your heart!! Good luck to all those reading, use your own ***in, not someone else's, you don't know where there's have been!!
Previously a manager - makes complete sense - you must have pondered for hours through a thesaurus to compile the words that you've typed. Clearly you have too much time as an unemployed former "manager for the world's largest consumer packaged goods company". Funny, how you put down an industry you know nothing about. I went this afternoon and did do a little research on this company. Funny Nathan, how you only spin the side of the story to " prea****g your garbage to the vulnerable of the internet." You were slightly off on the company's yielded profit. Last year, it was closer to $650 million. You failed to mention that they also paid out to the consumer in ***** claims over $800 million, and they paid the "independant representatives" $673 million. For me to think that I can learn an industry and succeed and you to say that it's a dream is to tell a student that school and education is worthless, because you'll never make what those ahead of you have. From the sounds of it, it appears that you were a Quixtar failure, disgruntled. You "currently work in marketing for one of the world's largest internet companies, with the second-most visited site and largest e-mail host in the internet." Such a busy man has time to surf the net spreading hate? Go to your 9-5, play with Video Google all you like, and stop trying to rob people with your negative gab. I must appologize for the "attacks" on your character. I, like you, Banana, and Michael R., hate the fact that people read **** on the internet and make decision based on bull. Experience and facts are what truth and understanding are based upon. Yet you posted an irrelevant link to a meaningless company, and hasted a warning on so****ing you know nothing about. It's like me, never travelling to Italy, warning people that it's like Bosnia - If I've never travelled or experienced it, how could I comment? I'm an entrepeneur. I've owned 2 Second Cups, and a variety of small businesses. As you've attacked my character, things haven't always gone my way. The truth is I believe that this company may be what I've been looking for - who knows - I'm excited about a chance to c****e. Don't pity my children, we've ac***ulated a fantastic net worth, so****ing I'm sure your ***her would be proud of. Hopefully all those that are reading realize that the world is full of different people, each en***led to their own opinion. Like others have typed - make your decisions based on what you see not read. Some of the wealthiest people in the world had no experience or education when they embarked on their goldmines - they never listened to negative people, and were never influenced by those that had less than them. Nathan - stick to your job, good luck - I'm chasing down my next dream!!
The chance of your life? You are definitely a very close-minded person to****ume that. "Quixtar is a multi-level marketing company that sells SOAP and TOOTHRBURSHES!!" Wake up buddy, Primerica is a multi-level marketing company that sells INSURANCE and FINANCIAL SERVICES. Please point out to me where the big difference is. It is not irrelevant as the same basic principles which applied to AmWay/Quixtar apply to other MLM schemes. I advise any and all people to beware of MLM companies, whether they are backed by Citigroup or AmWay. Citi is in the business of making money, Primerica yielded a profit of $544M, it is obvious that it is making money. The difference is WHO is making the money. The "independent representatives" (read: "Independent Business Owners" in Quixtar speak) are not the ones making money. If you've booked an interview - don't worry, you're already hired. Why? Because you are a customer to them, not an employee. As will be everyone that you refer. I can definitely see that you are a hardworking and self-motivated person (read: unemployed?) and it is a scary thought to think that you have a mortgage and a family of three while living on the hopes and dreams of some "amazing" financial freedom that you think a job that requires no experience may yield you. I pity your children, for if my ***her spoke with the immaturity of you it would be a sad day of reckoning when I saw him for the failure that you are. I was previously a manager for the world's largest consumer packaged goods company, a ******MNC that has work ten-fold that of your precious Primerica. I currently work in marketing for one of the world's largest internet companies, with the second-most visited site and largest e-mail host in the internet. To think that you would call me a pety "20 year old... living off my parent's dime!!" speaks volumes about the types of people that Primerica is looking for to sell financial services. I would bet you think CFA stands for Corn Flakes 'n Applejuice. Attacks on my character are unwarranted. Get the facts before you try do so, and for the sake of your children at least get some outside information on what you speak before prea****g your garbage to the vulnerable of the internet.
Actually, I was resear****g the company last night - got a call. Nathan - Primerica is a huge financial organization that sells products registered with the government of Ca***a. Quixtar is a multi-level marketing company that sells SOAP and TOOTHBRUSHES!! One has nothing to do with the other. Your link is irrelevant as it has nothing to do with this company. Michael R had it right - www.citigroup.com. I'm in awe as to how people who have no idea what companies like Primerica are, or what products they have to offer make ****** comments and references to irrelevant material. Why would you advise someone to "beware" when you know nothing about it - because you're broke and unemployed, sitting at home typing on the internet Nathan, you want other people to follow and listen to you. It's sad if they do - I have booked an interview on Monday - and like Peach, I hope they hire me. Peach, I realize that the compensation structure is based on personal efforts - that's incredible because I am a self-motivated hard working person. I've got a family of 3 and a mortgage. I'm not 20 years old like Nathan living off my parent's dime!! This could very well be the chance of my life, and small minded people cannot stop me!!
Hey *** i have been loosing sleep i got hired as well and when i first s****ed readin the comments i got all nervous and as i read along feel a bit better now. He is a really nice guy and i am not @ all gullable but people around me my husband for instance is sayin it is too good to b true, he needs to see it in order to believe it and i s****ed second guessing myself but it doesnt add up there is too much invested for it to not be real they are a professional team with a legit location, and there are alot of employees like myself for orientation and prior to that got hired and i talked to some myself. I am going today on my first day i will keep u posted, hope it works out. Banana let me know how things are going for you? How does the salary aspect work i didnt yet talk to him about that? Biweekly? weekly?
This is the best thing I've ever done in my life. First of all, never let things you read on the internet effect your choices or decisions - get the info first hand, secondly - Michael's web direction is good - but when I researches the company in the li***ry, I came across a book called "The ABC's of Making Money" This book is an international best seller and talks about how strong this company truly is. I'm part of a great team that has people who truly care. Good luck to all those fortunate enough to get a call for a chance!!
Awesome Michael - thank you. I went in for the interview, and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. What a professional team - what an awesome company - nice guy too!
Wow!! I got a similar call - the dude doesn't talk that fast - infact - he gave me all the info. When I asked him questions he was pretty cool about it. I had my interview this morning. I have no financial expertise, but after talking to him, he really shared great insight to the position. Kutchky - why wouldn't you go? Work is work!! And apple - I hope I qualify further, if you qualified why wouldn't you go - you're going to take the opinion of a bunch of unemployed people typing on the internet rather than making an opinion yourself?????? Banana has it so right - after reading what he/she wrote I too believe that information should be from the source. I found a great website that has REAL INFO: www.citigroup.com This guy is a Vice President for the largest financial companies in THE WORLD - No wonder he talks fast!!!! Dude probably has a lot to do!! My recomendation is if you get a call from someone - don't waste time listening to negative losers that are probably still looking for a job - go after it yourself and find out yourself- make decisions FOR YOURSELF. I too will keep you posted.
Actually, last week I got the same call - I found him intriguing. I've applying for positions before, but never for a company this big. You guys and girls are crazy. He happens to be a nice man, with a lot of experience. I normally am cautious, but like Orange, I don't let internet spam mold my opinion. I decided to show up, and I got s****ed just today. I truly believe that when one person has questions they should always go to the source. For those that didn't get more information and based your opinion on what you read here - call the guy (if he is still looking for people) find out more - make a decision based on what you here and see, not what you read from sceptical people who know so little, they use the internet as a research point. I'll keep you all posted on how it goes.
The number was on my cell as a missed call....thank you Samantha and Alina. I will ignore this and not call back.
i also got a call for an "interview" on ca***a day...should i go?
The same thing for me! I thought that it was very strange! The call back interviews are on Ca***a Day! Who does that? TG - very fishy. I think I'm going to go, just to find out and then I'll let everyone know what the real deal is. Keep you posted!
I got the same phone call from this guy. He talks real fast with a sales manner. He convinced me that someone referred me to him and they're hiring for a leadership position with no experience in finance. I went to the first interview and he called me back today for a second interview. I'm so not going after I read these messages. Thank you guys!
I've received today a phone call from this guy, who recommeds himsef as Tal Grossman. He talked so much, and he said that is locatted somewhere at Steels. He talked with my husband, but the call was for me. My husband picked it up. He has my contacts from Wokopolis, because 2 days ago i've updated my profile. Don't talk to him, for me is like a live spam. He promises so many...and all the time if so****ing looks too good to be true, don't believe. Take care,
Received a call from this number today, the guy said his name was Tal Grossman and he was calling from Primerica and then he said Citi Group. He said they have job available in the finance department for someone with no finance experience (weird)! Then he said "I don't think you have finance experience", when I actually do have a lot of finance experience, but he did know my name and my number, so I think he got it from workopolis or so****ing like that.He talk really fast.He called me last year and did the same sales pitch. My friend went to the interview and said its a company that tries to lure you in for insurance sales.I asked him if it was sales and he said no. Oh well I'm not going to this ****** interview, waste of time.
me too just received call from this #was unable to hear anything
He called me last night and knew too much private information. Told me to call his other number 647-298-6200. Probably a recruiter from Primerica as the call display showed.
not sure who this is as showed up as missed call on my cell. this person did not even leave a voicemail either. and normally good companies will leave a voicemail especially if theyy are hiring people for jobs.
I received a call from this number...he knew too much private information, said he was from Primerica, talked very fast and was high pressure. Told me he got info from the Bay, Zellers, Wallmart, etc. There is no way that the Bay, or others would ever release private information.
called today on my cell phone.
