Leave a CommentThis company also called me too today. Got very rude when I said I was not interested.I got this same scam call as well last year. They refuse to send you a copy of the ballot to prove it is your writing. I told them take me off of your calling list now and he said fine be that way.
Just received a call from this number. Company named Ontario International. She never explained what kind of company it was ... just said it was a s****up company based out of Woodbridge, Ontario and they've been around for a year. The lady claimed that I won a prize from a ballot I filled out at Christmas. Strange thing is ... my home number is new (just got it in May when I moved). When I explained that to her, she said that this was the name, phone number, and address on the ballot. She did know the address; however, she didn't know my first name. My number is listed, so she could have easily have found it that way. Regardless, she wanted me to go down to Woodbrige to claim one of five prizes. She explained that we were under no financial obligation ... she just wanted us to "spread the good word" about her company. Told her I wasn't interested. When she asked me if I wanted to give my prize to someone else, she barely gave me a chance to say "YES" before ****ing up. Sounds like a scam to me!
A man called saying his name was Alex so****ing or other calling from Ontario International. The background noise was incredibly loud so I asked him to repeat the info. When I asked what Ontario International was, he repeated the intro spiel. I a***n asked him a***n what Ontario International was and what they did. He said so****ing about savings, sounded like gas savings but the background noise drowned him out.I said, "Not interested, thanks." Then I ***g up. If I had not caught up in my work I would have done my usual, "This call is being recorded for our mutual protection" spiel. That really gets rid of most unsolicited calls.
