constantly calling about student loans
Called saying to call back Student Loan Centre but the number that called me was a company called Tricura??? Very strange.... probably a scam to get personal information
Answered, dubiously... Got a recording saying "Please hold for an important business call".
Automated debt collector for NSLC: Tricura.
I will not answer a number i do not know because it costs time on my cell. Can you make them stop? They have phoned 4 x in less than a month.
This is weird...this person keeps calling my number at different times of the day...I don't even know why
In the monthly bill, was charged for 14 mints of long distance usage to this number which I don't even know.
You clearly work for student LoansWait for the number to leave you a messageIf you listen to the message a recording says "This call is for ____" and they will just spit out any name then say :If this is you, please call back. The reason I know this is not legit is that I did have OSAP and is has been paid in full. I have the paper work proving itDO NOT ANSWER!!
It is a call from the National Student Loans Service Centre, which can be in refernce to a student loan from any province. They call for many reasons other than overdue accounts. For example, they called me today because my address was not up to date so that I would recieve important T4 slips for my taxes!
This is a legitimate phone number for local or outbound calls for the National Student Loan Service Centre which can be confirmed by calling their regular number 1-888-815-4514. They call for many things related to student loans, such as calling to obtain an updated address when mail they have sent out is returned.
PS- it's tricura they collect for Edulinx and probably many other student loans
This is collections for student loans. It's legit, they can get your new ph # from many sources as it's a credit agency. My advice...take the call
missed call
This number has called me at least once a day for the past week. It is just a voice saying my name and asking me to stay on the line. There is no way Student Loans would have this number because this is my parents house and not my own in Toronto. I beleive that it is just a scam to get peoples SIN numbers out of them or so****ing.
They get updated information from your credit report. If you apply for a credit card or loan your credit file with the bureau is updated, this is how they are getting your new number.
This number called me earlier today, I missed the call... but it was weird because I have caller ID and no name came up with the number.. and secondly, they didn't leave a message.. if it was important, they would have left a message... I was just curious to know who this caller was, I realize that it has a Toronto areacode... I didn't bother calling back 'cause it'd cost long distance... I do have a student loan, but I think they've called once before and it came up with a name... I defintely agree with the scam idea
Got a call from this number this morning. They left a message saying they were the Student Loan services and it was very important that they speak with me. I've never given them my new cell phone number which is what they contacted so I don't know how they would get that. A little creepy that the automated voice says your name but even that, they used my maiden name and I just got married so if they have my new cell phone number you think they would be aware of so****ing more public like a name c****e. Wouldn't call this number back if I were you.
I got two calls from this number today and neither time did they leave a message. I do have a student loan in Ontario, however am not yet due to s**** paying back my loan(I just got my letter yes****ay giving me payment details and spoke with them via the 866 number quoted in the letter), nor am I in arrears with a credit company. I strongly advise not answering calls from this number, likewise not returning calls to this number.-Courtney
CONSTANTLY PRANK CALLING
Answered phone. Beeped three times and then ***g up.
Ok so i got a missed call from this number today, and so I called back to see what everything was about. They said that it was regarding a student loan I have...I only have OSAP, and I never gave them my current address or my phone number so there is no way that this number is legit, don't give any information to them! This has SCAM written all over it!
Do not answer that number! I have been called 2 times a woman's voice saying very grozera: It is very important to talk with you immediately comuniquece office hours are blah, blah, blah. Ignore them!
call connected without any response from the other end
If it's from National Student Loans calling you about a legit loan, the number displayed is a 1800/866 and can show up as NCSL as the caller ID.I had this number call me a few minutes ago and ***g up when they told me to stay on the line... sorry, not falling for that. NCSL does not do that.. if they call you, you will automatically be talking to a customer service rep from NCSL.As for OSAP, I don't have student loans coming out of Ontario. Never been to school there!
Ca***a Student loan collection
It is for sure Student Loans.
this number is in reference to your student loans. OSAP!
This number just called me. It answered with a very annoying automated message saying "this is an important call do not ****up someone will be with you shortly". It kept repeating that annoying message and finally someone answered looking for "Nakpmead" or so****ing sounding like that. I ***g up on the ***** but I forgot to ask who they were before I immediately ***g up. All i can say is that if this number calls you it is definietly NOT important and to **** up right away.
called twice and noone was on the line
This number won't stop calling. We let it go to voicemail. Voicemail recorded us on hold and an automated voice asking us to stay on the line. Then someone said "hello" twice and ***g up.
