this idiot is calling my private cell phone. he says his name ispaul kuperstein frompaulkupers­tein and****os. call him back for a legal matter that is going to court. i want him blocked charged with harras*****t and invading privacy look him up on the website he has been harrassing lots of people for over 3years and actually getting people to submit money to a private account. im having him blocked hes a scam artist him and his wife.

I received a call from a mr.hazel stating that he was an attorney and that i owed money I requested to know where was my valadiation letter from the company i owed money too he was unable to give me any info.They are a scam and people please be aware of that and do not give in to them

I have had many telephone calls and e-mails from various people who have been harassed and threatened by Paul Kupferstein's Law Office and his monions, and I thank you all very much. A***n­, as Mr. Kupferstein is responsible for his staff's conduct, and as his staff are violating not only the Rules of Professional Conduct, but also the Criminal Code of Ca***a, and he is responsible for any damages you may have suffered. M­r. Kupferstein's staff is not allowed to call your employer, your friends, your neighbours, your relatives, your parents or grandparents in order to collect this debt. This is a TOTAL SCAM...I'm not even call Back...And yes, like Everyone says...It was Mr.David....And my last Bell Bill says Zero...Anyway, if anyone wants to confirm this fake law office of Paul Cooperstein....Just go to the Website of the Law Society of Upper Ca***a....Every Real lawyer in Ontario is registered there. That's the law. And this threat of the Police. Every Cop in the country knows that. But I want to thank all the other bloggers who gave me heads up...And the evidence that this is a scam is that Paul Cooperstein is not a member of the Law Society of Upper Ca***a...And you can't be arrested for being late on a bill. Especially a phone bill. Nor does a collection registered on your bureau prevent you from getting a Bank Loan. I know this for a fact. I write the policy for the Bank.

When I asked him to spell his name, he only spelled his last name. DAVID  Once I informed "MR. DAVID" that I was currently going to college to become a Law Clerk and that I was going to ask my teacher who's a lawyer, what my rights are in this matter, he got upset and said, do what you want mame but I'll see you in court and your bank account will be frozen and we will take up to 40% of ANY income coming in to that account. Then he ***g up on me.J*** OFF! LOL Oh he also informed me that the phone company more than likely woulnd't talk to be as my account was handed over to their "LAW FIRM"When I called the phone company it was regarding, I was informed that this could possibly be a collection agency who once handled my former account that did go to collections long ago but what "MR. DAVID" was saying about the $3000 I would owe for court costs and intrest for the past three years and freezing my bank account and disconnecting all the services I currently have with this phone company, isn't how this phone company rolls that they wouldn't subject people to this kind of garbage. really this is ****** they called me the other day saying i was being sued for 3500 dollers and that i had until the next morning to pay them 880.00 or i would have to go to court i had informed him that i was on OW and he meaning MR HAZEL said that he would contact the police and have them charge me with fraud and that i would lose my son and that i would go to jail i had informed him mr hazel earlier in the conversation that i had a baby and i was pregnant and i am struggling that is why i havent payed the money back, i said i couldnt afford to pay the full amount at once and asked if i could make an arrangment and he said he had to call someone and that he would call me back it was about half hour and i called back and he said i have until the end of november to pay back the full amount and i said ok thank you so much i said the first payment would be on the 20th if not the 20th them the 21st for sure of 327.00 he called me today it is the 20th i am infront of my teacher and mr hazel asks me when im coming in to pay today meaning the 20th and i said im in school right now until 3:30 and the bank closes at 4:00 can i come in tommorow and he mr hazel s****ed yelling at me to the point where my teacher could hear and said there is no way that is a lawyer mr hazel said to me that he is not accepting no payments now and that he is calling the police and he will see my  a** in court and ***g up i called begging himk to let me pay the 21st he told me with my friend beside me f*** off and ***g up i have called the police 3 times today to find out what to do i am now taking this whole page to the police and finding out what to do because i am trying to pay and i have a child to take care of

i got that same call from them saying i own cash store $568.36 and that i need to get a lawyer so they can fax paper's to them and if i don't do it then they are calling the cop's on me and then i will be sue for $2000 and they will put a hold on all my money and a hold on my bank account's..so what do i do is it true that this is all a big *** lie or what

My mother also got a call from this Mr. Sergeant being told to phone a Paul Cooperstein law office immediately. She couldn't believe it so we went online to search for this business on ca***a 411 but is not listed by phone or name! When his so called "law office" called on the caller I.D. it showed :        LAW OFFICE 905 474 3535. We soon found out that this is a huge scam and we were told to send our money to 7270 Woodbin Ave. Suite 203, Markham, ON.  IT'S A SCAM DON'T BE FOOLED!!

Called me today saying i owe money to some cash stores, funny last time i check unsecure money is just that the worse they can do is put a negative impact on ur credit score they can't sue u and they can threten all they like to freeze the bank account by sending it to the rcmp or local police . i called and asked my local police station: this is what they said, " You are joking right they said we can freeze ur bank account this is a police department what u just told me is a civil matter it doesn't concern us "so let them have it boys and girls they not getting my hard erned money!!!

I too have recieved a call from a Mr.David from a law office .Not at my home but from my work place. I will call him tomorrow from pay phone and if i get the same feed back as all of you....i will forward this to Better bussiness and the rcmp. I draw the line when they harrass my workplace.

I too was threatened by Mr David and am suppose to call him back tomorrow with arrangements for payment or he will file Fraud charges a***nst me. He is very agressive and doesn't give you time to think about what dept he is referring to. Then I thought wait a minute I paid that off so I researched the name and WOW was I in shock. This guy had me freaking out. Charges oh my god I would loose my job. I also forgot to mention that he threatened to freeze my bank accounts but when I contacted my bank. They too informed me that it sounded a scam, and that noone can freeze my account. I usually end up in an arguement with this idiot.

they have been harassing and threatening me for awhile now. They called my employer and my sister. I probably do owe someone a bit of money but to go to the extent of threatening me is ridiculous. One message I got was "You know, ignoring us isn't going to make the problem go away. keep ignoring us and I'll make the problem much worse". What the*****??

my brother got a call saying i left his number for referance and i am to deal with matters or i be on fraud charges***** after i read these comments and other ones i think i just going to fraud them tell them pay me or i report them to the RCMP and phonebusters and do it anyway ill wait for the jack**** to call my number tomorrow so i can tell him i did research and found  some funny comments if he mouths me off i say your a good lawyer

i just had the asme experience with a mr davis? from the same number(904) 474-3535. This is a collection agency that is in all likelyhood operating outside the law. Tomorrow i will be contacting legal representatio and all calls i make or recieve from them will be taped. If anyone else is interested in sharing their stories with me, they may do so at [email protected] maybe collectively we can put a stop to idiots like that. i acknowladge the debt but there is no way in***** i am going to pay back over $3000 when i believe the debt to be under $800!!!! My debt was handed off a couple months ago by the cash store to a company called the collection agency. Supposedly they then sold it to a company called 'the LAW OFFICE' i would also strongly suggest that you record any future dealing you may have with these scam artists!

I have had the same thing happen to me and I was just about to send the money but when I did not go to the bank to deposit the money when I said I would he called me at work and s****ed yelling (words I can not repeat) and ***g up on me. That is when I realized a lawyer would never talk to someone like that, so I googled the phone # and came up with this page. Now the receptionist screens all calls for me and told him I no longer work here. Mr Cl****** then left a message for my HR department to verify. Lucky for me that I work for a great company and continue telling him I no longer work here.

Since my last statement above about my 81 year old ***her being called by Mr. David from Cooperstein Law Offices in Markham, Ontario, my sister called me and said that a Mr.David called her from the same place telling her she owed $3,000 for a loan she took out a few years ago worth $679 from a payday loan store. She said to him she would call the payday loan place and make arrangements to pay them directly. Mr. David told her she couldn't do that and that she had to send him the $3,000 immediately or he would freeze her bank accounts, take her to court along with any references of people provided when she took the loan out and that these people would be involved in court as well. He was quite rude and has called her twice already.I told her the next time he calls to tell him that yes, she has made arrangements.(1) That she has reported him to the RCMP(2) That she has reported him to Phonebusters and that Mr. David and his company is under investigation by Phonebusters (3) That she is blocking all calls from his company immediately and then **** up on him.This Cooperstein Law Office is calling also anyone that has been placed on a loan as a reference as well.What Mr. David has done is called my 81 year old ***her to threaten him as his name is on the loan she took out as a reference. Her mother-in-law's name is also on as a reference so I told my sister to call her and tell her that this Mr. David might be calling her and that it is a scam and to **** up on him.We have to go in full force a***nst this company, so if they call don't play their game. Block their calls and call the RCMP and report them before they scam senior citizens out of there life savings. I've reported them to Phonebusters (the anti scam and fraud division that's run by an RCMP officer in Ontario) They are listed on the web under Phonebusters.I've read on another Blog that this company buys old phone bills and then they call you if you have an outstanding debt with the phone company demanding a larger amount then what you owe.

Had a call on Sept 19/08 from a Mr. David from the law offices of Cooperstein. Mr. David left a voice mail looking for my 81 year old ***her saying that Dad had to call them on an urgent legal matter and that it was imperative that he call them right away. The phone number left was 905-474-3535 and to refer to file # 438762I called them and left a message saying that I was the Power of Attorney for my ***her and anything they wanted to discuss would be discussed with me. Haven't heard back from them at all. Couldn't have been that urgent!!!

Wait.. I got a similar call but it is $2000.. and that my ODSP would be frozen and that is my only income.. all they want is $300.. criminal charges also but I never committed fraud etc.. I tried making payment arrangements but they wanted 3 times more than I could afford etc.. Do I take them seriously? Has anyone been served..?

I got a call from this place. Threatening to take me to court and sue me for 3000 dollars ebcause i owed bell 615. I asked for written proof of the debt and was ***g up on. I contacted bell and found out that they did in fact send a bill (maybe or maybe not for 615 bucks) to that collection agency (though they claim to be a law firm). So i owe the money and would like to pay it but will not pay until i have some proof of the amount. I spoke to consumer protection and they informed me that they cannot sue me for 3000 dollaras and that they must send me written notification of the debt. I have to send them a written request for the notification to s**** a paper trail showing that as soon as i was contacted by them i was willing to pay, but they are either trying to take me for more money than the actual debt from bell or so****ing else. I spoke to Mr. David.

Mr. David called my home today at 5:30pm. and left a message regarding an urgent legal matter.  He spoke so fast I could not make out what he said, but did get the number 905-474-3535.  I called the number which was answered as "Law Office" and asked for Mr. David.  Male voice stated Mr. David is in the office tommorrow at 9am. and to call back.I decided to check the number, and received all of this info, would have worried all night.

Mr. Klassen called me today left a message on my answering ma****e - said that i was a reference listed for a family member and that it 'was in my best interest to call him back' he called at least twice today - yet when i did call back - he was already gone - If i hadn't searched for this number - i would have never known it was a scam - am on the phone with phone busters as we speak.  Thanks everyone

i also got a call from this mr. hazel guy and he said he was from the lawyers office and says hes going to take me to court! its a scam!!! dont listen to them! i went through the government to find out if these people are even real. they are just collectors and should be arrested!!! after im through hopefully they will be no more!! im glad i googled the number before i gave them anything! i want to know how they are getting all my personal info?? they called my sick grandma and put more stain on her about me! i dont need that and this will be reported to the police! if anybody can get them recorded on tape and give it the authorities they have a better chance of getting shut down!

I received a call this morning at 12:00 p.m. asking if I knew a particular person, who supposedly gave my name as a friend; asked that I contact this person immediately to call Mr. Sarjeant back at 905-474-3535 extension 239, due to this person having outstanding law suits. I have contacted my attorney and the local authorities, who will take it from here. Caller:  Paul Sarjeant at Cooperston and****ociates Law Firm in Markham.

my mom received a call from a Mr. Seargant that there was an outstanding law suit a***nst me.  He even used my old married name that I havent used in 7 years!  He was very aggressive and threatening sounding.  He left our family very upset and I will be seeking legal counsel as to what to do.

I also received a call from this man.  He said he was from a law office and gave a file #.  He asked for me by my old last name that I haven't had in years.  What should I do about this.  It is obviously a scam.  There was no record on my phone as to when he called or from what #.  We all have to stand up and not take this.

I received a message on a private line from a Mr. Hazel stating that he wanted to talk to me about a file # and it was extremely important that I call him back.thanks everyone for listing this information as I would not have known that this was fraud.I do know that I do not have any open file numbers, actually never had any ever and being a credit manager knew somehow this did not sound right.

This guy called me today at my work number how he got that i do not know. This time he used the name Mr klassen. He also made up a file #. I called Phonebusters and put in a complaint about this dude. It is scary how this guy gets all his info.

I just s****ed getting these calls on friday as well, I called to speak to mr david but he wasn't in so they said they would leave a message to my new number he keeps leaving voicemails on an old number i don't have a phone for anymore, anyways now he has drawn up my papers to send to court and I don't even know how much i owe....

Ye, i just got a call from them with the name Mr. Hazel, saying i need to pay the 305.00 that i owe from a payday loan company. I asked them why they called me a day before they will send it to court. He told me that most lawyer don't even make a phone call. They will charge me with fraud which is doesn't make sense at all.

the call I recieved for this number saying that the where going to hand a fill over to the local athroities I afford to make pay ment on the account and he said this was not acceptable and I had 48 hours to come up with the full amount or I would face fraude charges he called back a***n with in 24 houras

I got the same call. They said that I had 24 hours to let them know if I was going to pay or go to court. Also, if they could prove that I didn't intend to pay back the money criminal charges would be laid, and they would call my mother and brother into court.I am so glad that I found this website. Today I got a call demanding payment for a Cash Store loan. And they said that if I didnt pay within 24 hours I would have the Sheriff at my workplace or front door. The name of the person calling was Mr.Classmate. The information that was given to me as to where to send my postal money order was to 7270 Woodbin Avenue Suite 203 Markham Ontario L3R 4B9 . Dont be fooled!

I too have gotten calls from this person, who will not identify themselves other than a Mr david and who is very pushy!  He wanted me to pay double what I owe for a pay day loan or I would be sued.  I called the debtor I owe the money to and was told NOT TO SEND A PAYMENT TO THESE PEOPLE.  Apparently ther debt I have with the payday loan people have an in house collection service and do not outsource their nsf debt.  I have filed a complaint with the BBB and also calld the rcmp and opp to report them as a scam.

My ***her and sister got a call in regrards to a pdl i owe money too.Then they left a message on my phone to call right away...i called and they said i was going to be sued if i dont have 840 dollars by noon the next day for a loan i know is only 400...if i dont pay it will go up to 2400 with the legal costs..

A man called today and left a message that I needed to call Mr. Sergeant immediately about an investigation.  He said he was calling from an attorney's office and left this same number, 905-474-3535.  He sounded very official and a bit intimidating, saying he needed to speak with me as soon as possible to get "my side of the story."  WHATEVER!!
