Leave a CommentI got a call from this phone number: (905) 754-5163 by some guy named Alex with a heavy east Indian accent, claiming to be some sort of a senior manager. He said that I won a prize because I filled out a ballot (which I never did), some time ago. I told him, "Whatever it is you are selling, I'm not interested." He said that he is not selling anything and he just want me to pick up anyone of the 5 prizes which will be drawn, after attending a 60 to 90 minute presentation, to be held at:****5 Hwy 7, unit 6 Vaughan, ON. He said that I am not obligated to buy anything. To cut the story short, my wife and I went there. The representatives were very persistent and they push you to become a member which cost around $11,000 and there is a renewal fee of one ***dred plus some dollars (if I remember correctly) every year. In my opinion, you can sometimes get really good deals (i.e. vacation, cruise, appliances, electronics, furnitures, etc.) on your own. I think that this is just another BIG SCAM and a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. They are looking for ****ERS!
Just got the same phone call, and after his sch***l, he gets really ****ed off when you say you never filled anything out, and when I asked what I have to do to get my ``prize``, he said `did I say you have to sit through a boring presentation``. His guy was a piece of work.
I got a call saying it was from WalMart. I have a hearing problem and just couldn't understand what she was saying. She must have been exasperated for she hug up. I called the nomber back but couldn't connect.Yes, indeed , it must have been a scam.
They are calling me!
Just received a call from these people - sounded very su****ious (and was also very inaudible) and I couldn't hear the name (even though I asked twice) but listened enough to get more information. I didn't recall entering any form, so I was extremely skeptical, but wanted to see where this was leading .After hearing the prizes, I was then forwarded to the 'Supervising Manager', who was just as hard to understand to as the first guy. After listening to the 'Manager' for a couple of minutes and him trying to press me to commit for a time to come in, I told him that I would have to call him back. He then asked if I was still interested - I said no, and he the said 'Why are you wasting my #@$@#$ time?!' Which was funny, considering that they were saying that they were giving away these prizes for goodwill and to build a client base :) I'm pretty sure this is the same guy who called us a year or so ago with the same sort of scam. I think he just c****es his number every once and awhile. The only thing different this time is that he managed to replicate the 'call center' sound in the background.
It's your dialler calling so wouldn't it be easier just to remove our phone numbers from your dialler? The guy who calls to tell me daily, that I'm a b***h calls between 3 and 4 p.m. He wont give his name.I let the phone company know, who let me know they are working with the police to end your scam.Best wishes.
Hi,I have been getting daily calls from this number. Same guy, I Keep telling them to remove our number. The guy has called me names.( b***h etc.)when I call the number back it's disconnected. I'm reporting to the phone company.he also calls from 905-552-2513.They will not even identify the company the are calling from.
I got a call from 905-552-2511 and the guy s****ed telling me that I filled out a ballot on Apr. 7 and that I won a prize. asked me to take a pen and paper and write down the information of how to claim it. Since I NEVER fill out 'ballots' or anything where I can 'win' a prize I knew it was bullllll****t. I said that I haven't filled out any ballots and that I'm not interested - the reply 'Well, it must be someone in your family who filled it out'. I further questioned (yeah, I spent about 20 minutes on the call - had time to burn and didn't just **** up) where he got my name and what else is written on the 'ballot'. The reply was that 'you are two people between the ages of 27 and 65 and the total income is more then $60000' (so now you know what 'criteria' they are looking for) That's funny - I'm single; so who is that other person on the ballot that wants to share in MY prize? I kept repeating that I'm not interested in the prize and every time he wanted to know why I'm not interested. I suggested to him that since I'm not interested that he can give this prize to someone else - he insisted that it is my prize. So after 20 minutes of this he finished the conversation with 'F___ off' which I expected he would. I s****ed laughing and hope that he didn't **** up to soon and heard it.
I did not get a call from 9055522514. My second call came from 9052547286. As the man was reading his script, I said to him that they had called before and I am not interested because i was told to pick up the prize at a certain time WITHOUT MY KIDS. He proceeded to ask me if I cannot get a baby sitter. I said to him, if I am just coming to pick up a prize and go, why can't I take my kids along. Of course they have some quick come backs. So I just ***g up on him. Then I decided to try calling the number back to hear what the name of the company was and guess what, I got a recording that said the number is no longer in service............haha. What a joke. Then I decided to do some research online and found this site. Thank you. I will not bother to waste my time.
After being awake until 5:00 am with a sick child, my phone rang at 8:30 am this morning. I was greeted by a guy with an extremely thick East Indian accent. I couldn't understand his name but he said he was a 'verification manager' with Ontario International. I said, "Thank you, but I'm not interested." He quickly responded that he was not selling anything and that I had completed a prize ballot at a shopping mall during Christmas and he was calling to offer/verify my prize. I said that I had 'absolutely not completed any ballot' (my exact words) and...before I could respond any further, he said...(and these are his exact words - edited in order to post)..."F___ off, son of a b____!" AND...***g up on me!This is not the first call I've received from this company and I sick of it! I will be reporting this call and the use of profanity to the police and the BBB.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT. These people are such SCAM ARTISTS. I just sit there, let the crazy woman chat her life away, eat their snacks, drink their coffee, then tell her that I'm not interested. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF IDIOTS IF THEY PEOPLE ARE GOING TO FALL FOR THEIR SCAM.
Premium Buyers Club (or Ontario International),****5 Hwy 7 #6, Woodbridge, ON (not a "Timeshare", its a "Lifestyle Club") - we went to their "reception" after obtaining the prize code for filling out a ballet (yeah right!). Made the appointment, had no intention of buying anything. Thought "what the heck, the least we will get is a 3 day/2 night getaway". Was specifically told it would take no longer than 60-90 minutes, we were there for over 2 HOURS before finally drawing for the prize, which was the 3 day/2 night getaway at 21 different north american locations. After getting the detailed prize information, which is through Odenza Marketing, you need to pay a refundable (??) deposit of $100 US, doesn't seem to be any guarantees of where/when you will be able to travel (except the first night is Sunday - Wednesday). Sear****g Odenza Marketing through google leads me to many red flags. All seems kind of hokey to me! The certificate will be shredded. Was a complete waste of my time.It appears that the Premium Buyers Club may be able to save you money if you regularly travel 2-3 times a year on exotic vacations. Cost $8999 + fees, taxes, was over $11000 total for a 10 year term. Most of their other****ociations with companies can be obtained elsewhere through coupons, sear****g for deals on-line or negotiations without paying their club fee (reduced furniture, restaurants, home renovations, hotels - anyone heard of priceline.com?) DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. This is a scam, lots of high pressure sales tactics. I won't be reeled in a***n!Note: While getting antsy after the intial 90 minutes, I stood at the table because I simply could not sit on the chair any longer. The agent told me we weren't allowed to stand in that room! ha ha, what a crock - by that time, I just needed to get out of there!
