Exact same tactics - my boss knows who he is, etc.

Received call from "John Drury" asking for my boss at 7 am central time stating that "he knows who I am" when he had no idea who he is. Did research, looks like complaints on other sites about same caller...selling securities. Beware!

Same as above. The identifier says Paulson-whatever that means.

Called my law firm -I returned the call -****istant said he was on the other line.  He told me that Mr. Drury is with Paulson & Company.

Same thing here in Northern CA.  Thanks for the posts -- won't be calling him back.

Just got a call from "John Drury", tried to be very ***ue, believe he has called our office a few times over the last year, when asked, he said he was from "Paulson" and it was a personal matter with our president.  He left his number 908-277-6360 and that was it.  Agree with comments below!

Same call here in Miami with same excuse that he knew my boss...

John Drury just called for my boss...I asked him several times what it was regarding and he said that my boss knows him. He told me he was from a company called Polston. Must be another cold caller.

I also received a message from John Drury on my voicemail.  I am a lawyer in Boston.  His message implied that I had already spoken with him..   I am not going to return his call..

Same call.  John Drury.  Called him and determined that he was connected with a Paulson Investments from Portland.  Told him to never call me a***n.  Called Paulson Ivestments, asked to speak with their counsel's office, and apprised him of the cold calls and the implication/expression that he had a relationship with me.  Suggested they google the phone number, to see that this is not an isolated incident.  Paulson Investment seems to be a reputable firm, and it doesn't need it's employees doing this type of thing.

Caller left voice mail saying he was John Drury and was still at the office at 908-277-6360.

Yeah, I got a message for my boss, who is an attorney, from John Drury at 908-277-6360.  Before he gave me the number, he said "he should have it, but just in case...".  And then I asked whether my boss would know what it was in reference to.  He said "yes, just have him call me".  Interesting seeing these entries here.

Called for my boss, said he was in a meeting "can I help you" and was told "No, just have him call back.  He should have the number, but just in case..."  HA!

John Drury also called for an Attorney in the office and said he knew who he was. "Oh, I think he already has my number, but it's (908) 277-6360"

John Drury called my office and left a voicemail.  Soft-spoken but didn't give up any information on who he was and what he wanted.

Yep, John Drury called for an attorney at my office.  John left me his name and number, but when I asked what the call was in refernece to, he said the attorney was familiar with him and they had spoken several times.  Paaalllease....like I would even trouble the attorney with such a bogus message...If John wants to know what happened to his message, it's in file 13!

John Drury called me as well to call him back and his number is still the same at 908-277-6360.  He must be a cold caller for sales.

John Drury left message to call and sounded like he knew me.  I never heard of him.
