I received a call from a guy named Kevin today and he said that I owed 900 dollars to US pay day loans and that I didn't pay them back, even though I had a confirmation of the loan payment. I actually believed that I was going to jail when he threatened me because I was not aware of this kind of scam.I then called my friend who used to be a creditor and he told me to do a couple things to stop the harassment:1,) File a police report2,) Call all three credit bureaus (equifax, etc) and have them place a red flag on your social security number (this will be for a total of three months) That way, anytime someone tries to use your social security number, you will be called immediately and notified and you can either confirm or deny the action that is****ociated with your iden***y (getting a new phone, car loan, etc.)I plan on calling them tomorrow to mess with them and tell them that I am going to send them a note... except that when I fax them the note they ask for, I am just going to write in HUGE letters, ***K YOU I HOPE YOU GO TO***** YOU DUMB**** MOTHER ***KERS. STOP HARASSING PEOPLE AND GET A REAL JOB. IF YOU WERE SMART YOU WOULD HAVE AN INDIAN NAME WITH YOUR INDIAN ACCENT INSTEAD OF HAVING A FAKE**** AMERICAN NAME WITH AN INDIAN ACCENT. Last thing: the voicemail is very scripted... this is what he saydThis message is intended for (wife). (wife). the very second you receive this message I need you or your freaking attorney to return this call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive.(s****s screaming) My name is David Cooper.(stops screaming) and the hotline to my division is 909-446-3023 I repeat that is 909-446-3023. (s****s screaming) Don't disregard this message.(stops screaming) Return the call. Now if you don't return the call (s****s screaming) or I don't hear from your attorney (stops screaming) the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds are you. goodbye.

For anyone reading this the calls are a scam run out of the country. They are s****ing a california number. No matter what you offer they will never give you their address and for good reason. They have c****ed their names many times but have the same ****od for collecting. They get all their information from iden***y theft(buy from the criminals) and use it to harass you. DO NOT PAY THEM THIS IS A SCAM.
Yes it a scam I fowarded all the call to the CA DA office.
i received a very disturbing threatning message.
I just got a call from this number claiming to be from the Law office of California. They said they were hired from US loans and were calling about an unpaid payday loan. I went off on him because this is the second time this scam has been played with me.
I received a call from this number today. I let it go to voicemail as I didn't recognize the number. The NOT AMERICAN left a hateful and threatening message. He said I needed to call him back or reap the reprocussions. Did not say who he was with just a number to call back.
