Threatening me to make a payment regarding a debt that was unverifiable from Capital One. I called the CC directly and I have no debt found. Capital One told me to report the fraud immediately. When I told them that, they were furious and started talking to me in a different tone. Started yelling, using worlds like “pissed off” & “freaking” and saying things like “You don’t know what you’re talking about. Capital One can’t tell you to report as fraud they were the ones that reported your debt.” And “Did you call the number WE provided?? Not Capital One!” RED FLAG! They wanted me to pay $1100 to make my debt resolved which was $3000 to them. Also when I talked to Capital One, they said this number is not one of the numbers they use for debt collection after they send it out. But anyway, the CC couldn’t find any record of me using my social security number. So FRAUD! SCAM!!
