I used to work for the NY FOP fundraising company (we were paid solicitors by a company called CDG management) andI can tell you first hand this place is a complete scam, preying on the weak and the sick. The truth it at most 15% of the donation goes to the FOP lodge, the rest of it lines the crooks pockets who run it. Another trick is if you donate to the FOP, about a week or two later they will put you on the PBA and the firemans****ociation call lists, so that they try to get triple the donation from you before they call back asking for more 2-3 months later. We were not allowed to put you on the DNC list unless you specifically said "Put me on your do not call list" Requesting "please take me off your call list" was not good enough.

I used to work for the NY FOP fundraising company (we were paid solicitors by a company called CDG management) andI can tell you first hand this place is a complete scam, preying on the weak and the sick.  We were told to make 500+ calls a day and intimidate and basically beg for pledges from these people, and it broke my heart that the only people who would mainly were old and sick people, sometimes giving up a months medication to chip in their yearly 10 dollar donation.  The truth it at most 15% of the donation goes to the FOP lodge, the rest of it lines the crooks pockets who run it.  I heard the president of CDG recently bought himself a 7 million dollar estate with the profits stolen from people who just wanted to do some good.Another trick is, if you donate to the FOP, about a week or two later they will put you on the PBA and the firemans****ociation call lists, so that they try to get triple the donation from you before they call back asking for more 2-3 months later.  Most of the people who call you are *****s or ****** at the time, one of the managers in my call center was also the main**** dealer for most of the employees.We were not allowed to put you on the DNC list unless you specifically said "Put me on your do not call list"  Requesting "please take me off your call list" was not good enough, and we would get written up for doing so if you worded it that way.Poster Snow on here works for CDG and spreads all kinds of lies and disinformation, just look at any other states FOP listing on here and youll see the same copy/pasted reply from him.  I know they shut down our call center aout 1.5 years ago, but it seems they have recently opened up a new one.  If you want to ***** with them, tell them you want to make a 250 dollar donation the next time they call, then just throw the pledge kit away when you receive it.  Put the sticker on your car if you want,***** its free anyway.  They are allowed to call you 4 more times to tell you to send in the money, buts its not like its a bill and you dont have to pay anything.  If you dont mind a few more harrassing phone calls, it is worth it to ***** them over and make their "sales" numbers way overinflated vs their actual collections, and will lead to them being shut down a***n.Feel free to ask more questions and I will gladly answer them, I know the company pretty well being a former manager there myself.  And please copy/paste this to any other FOP listings that you see on this site, the compnay is a f***ing scam and the owners will burn in***** for their thieving ways and total disregard for the financial damage they have done to those who donate even though they cant afford it only because they were intimidated into donating.

phone just rang. 2 rings and ***g up. 914-339-5600 caller id said FOP NY. I have seen this id before but never answer. Seems a little creepy that they call and **** up after 2 rings.

These scam artists called a***n today around 1:00 PM.  I didn't answer, but I know they keep c****ing their phone numbers.  I keep complaining to the DNC list, keep adding their phone numbers.  I have answered some of their calls in the past to  yell at them to stop calling me. Doesn't do any good.

8:16am  FOP NY  incredibly vacuous organization preying on those they think are not wise to their tactics.  They are being traced as this is written.

8:53 received a call from the number above. They ***g up before the ma****e picked up. My caller ID said FOP NY?????

Got a call at 8:51am and caller left no message either. Perplexing

ID Came up as FOP so it was probably the people that grrr noted above. Same MO as noted by vic colasano above.If they are a real problem, most phone services will allow you to block several numbers without charging extra.  You'll have to look into your individual provider to see what free services they provide. Fraternal order of police

Called that number back with untraceable phone. Answering ma****e said they were the fraternal order of police. Yeah right, public service ads on local radio stations say NEVER GIVE MONEY to those folks- that`s not how legitimate charitable organizations do things.
