They call every day

North Eastern****et Recovery - they are debt collectors. They answer only as "North Eastern" if you call them back. They'll keep calling as long as they have an active phone number no matter how many times you ask them not to.

PERSON FOREVER AND A DAY CALLING AND NEVER LEAVE MESSAGE. CALL SEVERAL TIMES A DAY. FROM 11AM -10 PM.

I get at least one call from this number every day.  I do not know the number or what company it is and it is getting annoying as heck.  I am disabled and have toget up to answer the phone just to have it be from this number and no one on the line once I answer it.  I wish someone could find out how to stop this annoyance.  I am listed on the National Do Not Call List but it does no good.

These guys call 3-5 times a day and won't talk or leave messages.  My number is on the Do Not Call List, but to them (w***ver they are) so.....

Did not answer phone. I am 76 and its hard to get to the phone. I want it to stop!

This is true, the debt will not go away.  But I had 3 surgeries last year... I have a high deductible and ongoing medical issues... I can't pay my current medicals AND the uninsured stuff at the same time.  They call and call and call.  when I answer I get "please hold, someone will be with you shortly".  I think sitting on the phone twice over 5 minutes...on my cell phone while at work is a tad unnecessary.  So yes, per the fair debt collection act... stop calling.  Contact me by mail, my address you have is correct...  so sometimes you need to with bill collectors.  I too pay my bills.  I work 2 jobs, so does my husband.  But sometimes, it just happens.

still receiving calls from this #, They disconnect when I answer, they are calling on cell# only, When I called back they needed the number they were calling when I refused to give # stating they were the ones calling me, they got upset and called me by my Last name they told me they had caller ID that is why they knew my name, if they have caller ID they also have my number. I do not have any debts, when I told them I was calling the attorney General for my state the woman got very smart mouth and used foul words. These people called 2-3-4 times aday. Very upsetting since I lost my husband a couple of weeks ago I do not need this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not know who these people are, but they call me at all hours of the day. I want it to stop! If it is important, they can send me a letter in the mail.

You can actually call that number and somebody will help....it is a collection that deals mostly with medical but also has some commercial accounts as well....sometime they do have the wrong number and they will remove it if you say it is not you...however if it is you they will find out becuase they have a program to track you...

I have been getting calls from "out of area" for weeks up to 7 times a day now. I also am being billed for an item I have not received which I  have been told will be corrected--several times. Now I am etting 914 593 1600 calls and no one answers. Ignoring them doesn't seem to work--don't know what else to do. I'm afraid I will get a bad credit rating --and I don't owe anyone anything.

My daughter keeps getting calls from this number.  I told her that I would attempt to have them stop.  Hope this helps somehow.

This is indeed a collection agency by the name of N.E.A.R.  They sent me a letter for an outstanding medical bill that I never received.  however, they were able to send me a duplicate and after some research on my end found out that I indeed did owe the money.  On the letter they sent, there is a toll free number to call.  That will get you to them.  I think the number that displays on caller id is an 'outgoing number only' from their office.

If you have a debt, stopping the calls does not make it go away. You'd be much better finding out what the debt was about before you decided to ignore it. Debt collectors can mark your credit history and use an Attorney to sue you. You'd have to be crazy to let that happen without even knowing who the debt was from or what it was all about! Maybe it's not your debt, maybe it was already paid, maybe you have insurance coverage, maybe you could settle for less, maybe you could afford a payment plan? Try so****ing - but don't ignore it.

I keep getting calls from this number too.  I would get like 2 calls a day for about 2 months, never leaving a message, then they stopped.  Now they s****ed up a***n and I got a message saying this was regarding a "legal matter."

been getting calls every other day for a few weeks. when i answer, no one is ever on the line, and i have no idea why they call. after doing some simple investigating with google.com, i learned this number belongs to a collection agency called north east recovery. i pay all my bills regularly and on time - medical and otherwise. so this is very mysterious.

This is a debt collection agency.  They want me to call back but everytime I call, verizon tells me the call cant be completed. ***??and i can barely see the validation code this webside gives me.  ***??

After many months of calls from them with no one on the other line when I answered, Louis finally answered.  I told him to stop calling me.  He said their fax # is 914-593-1601.  Anyone who receives a call from them, send them a fax and tell them to stop contacting you pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  At least someone finally was on the other line!

914-593-1600 keeps calling me- they have a recoding that asks if you have received a letter from them (I haven't) and you can't get anyone on the line to be removed. Who are these people and why are they calling?

I pressed 2 after dialing 914-593-1600 to try to get a live person and I did. Whatever you do, don't select option 3.  These collection folks are rude. And when I explained to this person I did not have any accounts in collection as well as asking that my name be removed from the roster, I was told this would be done. We'll see....

I s****ed getting calls from this number after I signed up for Monster.com.  Which, by the way, is a total joke.  All I got from them is spam emails and phone calls from people trying to sell me so****ing.  Why isn't this on the Do Not Call registry?

Repeated calls from this number.Repeated removal requests, apparently, they won't.When I try to answer, it's already a disconnected call.I am fed up.
