Leave a CommentI concur!!!!!! this is my responce to a previous 914-618-4719 call postThis Person claimed to be AT&T? Did they state an agent name or employee ID (CUID)??? I'm getting alot of reports from AT&T Wireless about 914-618-4719 calls. Hence my research now! LOLThey claim to be AT&T and trying to get customers to upgrade cell phones or add-a-line to thier existing AT&T account. FIRST, AT&T agents will give their FULL name in the opening call script IF and ONLY IF we call you. If you have your solicitation preferences set to "SOLICIT", we can call you regarding sales and marketing. If "DO NOT SOLICIT" is set on your account, AT&T cannot call you regarding sales/marketing. We can only call you regarding account/contract information updates and c****es. Also, you have the right to ask for any agent's employee ID, at any time, and end the call right there! Then call 8003310500 to confirm that employee ID is an ATT worker. All incoming and outgoing calls from AT&T agents in regards to your account is notated on your account memos and ALSO time stamped by the computer/pc.We call this practice, "Social Engineering", People trying to get your information for the purposes of obtaining your ID!!!Your fix: call 611 to get your "SAM", Soliciting Account Management, settings set to "DO NOT SOLICIT" on ALL LEVELS--home#, all wireless #s, email (if on file with us), and texting. This is free and also part of consumer rights, regardless of what wireless carrier you have! Also use http://www.donotcall.gov. This is the National Do Not Call Registry. Its also free and blocks 98% of all telemarketers. ALSO--may I highly suggest you add a security PASSCODE to your AT&T account. A PASSCODE trumps all other forms of 611/Store account verification. At ATT.com, you will be asked for your online password AND account PASSCODE... double protection!.. the Passcode is free and also part of consumer rights!AT&T Wireless Manager
