I just got a call and there was no voicemail it is annoyed.

I answered with "House of Insanity, can I help you" and the caller said "Uh, I think I have the wrong number" LOL

917-398-5567 has called several times. I never answer phone #s I'm not familiar with. They don't leave a message either. Normal people don't do things like these persons do. These individuals must be intellectually challenged.

I was going to call back this #, until I saw these postings- very helpful to know!!

I applied on line for what looked like an employment opportunity from Craigslist.  It's disguised as a job offer.  After filling out the so-called employment application, it begins to s**** asking you about training, school, etc. and that's when I realized what it was.It's deceptive, therefore a scam.  Since I'd already submitted a form with my cell number on it, these calls s****ed coming in.   They must have things *****ed up, because none of the calls say anything.  They just **** up.  I did call back and an automated thing told me to "press 2" to get removed from the calling list. I did, so hopefully that's the end of i****'s called "Career Ins***ute."  I guess they hired a marketing firm that is a deceptive scammer,  and furthermore has let their automated phone system go defective, calling you without providing any message.  Alternatively, people working as hot callers for them may be just dialing the numbers and not delivering the message they are supposed to just to get paid for the calls.

Wanting you to sign up for online college courses... 5 calls in 2 days from 4 different states. They asked for my room mate This was the second call in two days for her and whenI went to ask this same person what they wanted ..They spoke quickly said no message and ***g up in my ear before I could say another word.

And what I want to know is how do they get a cell number that is "restricted"? I routinely do not answer calls from numbers I am not familiar with but it is still quite annoying!

I keep receiving calls from****-398-5568, 314-627-5524 and 312-878-5579 like 6 times a day.  I am getting very aggravated about this so today I decided to google the number and what I find is this site.  So I decided to call back the****-398-5568 number and told the guy on the phone that I want to be taken off the call list.  I dont know how I got on the list in the first place but he needs to stop calling me.  So he said he would take me off the list.  Now lets see if he really does.  I heard you can go to donotcall.gov and put in your number.  If you continue to receive calls, you answer the phone tell the people if they call a***n you will report them.  They will then be fined $10k.  Hope this helps!!!!

I have been receiving calls from****-398-5567, 312-878-5579, 314-627-5524. I was unable to answer the call because I was at work. When I called the numbers back, each one had the same message for the Career Ins***ute. I have been in school for the past three years and am happy where I am at. I did not apply to any other school or apply for any jobs online since I am already employed.

I just received calls from 312-878-5578 at 9:15 a.m., 213-420-4297 at 10:04 a.m. (which I already looked up and are a scam company trying to sell you a grant),314-627-5523 at 10:42 a.m. and****-398-5567 at 11:54 a.m.  I have already put the (213) number on do not call list and blocked it on my Verizon cell (obviously not working though), so I think this may all be the same scam grant company calling but from different numbers.  The times they call (about an hour apart, make me su****ious. I have picked up the (213) number before and there is never anyone there.  This is my cell number and I do not give it out since the only reason I have it is in case my kids are sick at school, so I am not looking forward to my cell ringing all day long once my kids are back in school soon.  I am heading to Verizonwireless website a***n and will block all of these numbers, but I am not hopeful since the (213) number is still getting through even though I have blocked it 1 week ago.

Same thing happened to me.about an hour apart. first 312-878-5578 at about 10:15. then 314-627-5523 at about 11:15, then****-398-5567 at about 12:30 today.  I refuse to answer them because I don't know who they are from. Usually I look up online to see if other people are hassled by these numbers and if they are, then I don't worry and****ume I missed a telemarketer. So thanks everyone who writes they get strange phonecalls from unknown numbers, becaues now I know there was nothing important I missed.

I've received a call from this number and i have no idea who it is. I checked the area code and the caller if from New York. But it isn't this that's bothering me, what's bothering me is I've also received 2 more calls with area codes that I'm not familiar with. The (917) is a New York number. And i've received calls from a (312) which is from Chciago, and a (314) which is from Missouri. And as you can tell...these places are nowhere NEAR close to each other, not only that but all the calls were basically made at about an hour apart. I got a call from (312)878-5578 at 6:12pm, then (314)627-5523 at 7:26pm, and lastly (917-398-5567 at 8:54. Unfortunetly i was not able to answer any of the calls to see what they wanted because my phone was left upstairs, so i'm not rushing to any conclusions. Yet, it's also freaky because the times of the calls were too close. They were all made in a 24 period. I'm only 16 year old chick so i'm a little off-set.
