This is legit. You don’t have to have a tinder account to receive this message. You can type in your grandma’s number and she’d get a verification code. Just one of the many ways tinder uses to help people get away with cheating or at least give them the benefit of the doubt. If you get this message and you don’t have an account, besides someone putting in the wrong number, it’s probably someone trying to see if you do that doesn’t know that you don’t have to have an account to get this message from tinder. If you keep seeing this number on your SO’s phone log then obviously they have an account but if it’s just once it’s hard to tell. FU tinder.

I was working with someone to get my Tinder account unlocked and he said I would receive a code and to send it to him once I received it. I did as he said and I KNOW it is not a scam because I never deleted the Tinder verification code that was sent to me when I initially signed up from my iMessage app on my MacBook and it was sent from the SAME NUMBER.

This text isn’t some scam. You get it when you reactivate your tinder acct. You can tell these reports are men claiming it’s spam because they got caught. There’s a few reports in a row where it’s so obvious it’s the same guy commenting too.
