Called my work claiming he was a officer and charges are pending a***nst me had a heavy Indian accent he states his name was john smith I called number back blocked and he picked up he was wanting all my personal info. Come on every one knows that there is no john smith and is Indian decent lol I'm not that dumb!!!

I recently began receiving messages from "Officer Tom Wilson" (at times it sounds like he says "John Wilson")... I do not even know how these people got my cell phone and work number.  He has called 4 times on my cell, and called my work number, and left many harrassing messages similar to those mentioned above.  He's also said things like he will "drag me to court" and make sure I "stay behind the bars."  After I heard that message, I knew it was a scam.  No legit person (or even a person who believed you honestly owed them so****ing) would use HARRASSMENT as a means of collecting information.  It is really aggravating, mainly because they call my job and now have my co-workers thinking I am in some kind of legal trouble - which I AM NOT!  I am waiting for him to call back so I can use some of the suggestions given here (such as asking them to mail me so****ing, and****uring them my attorney will be in contact).

got a call from this number. the person barely spoke english.could tell reading from script. stated he was tom wilson from the justice dept. i need to call him or my att. of record to call him, and give my info. what a scheme.. these people need to stop,,this is pure harrasment,,hope they all burn in*****..i have repeatly reorted this everytime to the fbi site ans the fcc any many others. the federl att. general off. now leaving messages on my cell phone..

I recieved a call from this person saying that she was an officer investigating. First off, she was foreign and extremely hard to understand, second off, she wanted my name and social security number. I looked this number up on the internet and it is supposedly a scam. Many people claimed to report the number, I don't know how to do that so I did this instead. Also, It came up as an emergency call on my cell phone.

A man alleging to be Officer Washington was looking for an employee.  His accent was very thick.  He says that it was a personal emergency, then an important legal matter.

These people called me and left numerous messages for me to call them or I would be arrested. The non english speaking so called "Officer Adam" advised to call this number. I did and being that I work in Law Enforcement this concerned me. The person who answered transfered me once, then I got transfered three more times. I provided them with my name only when they replied that he was with BCI Buearu of Crime Investigations. He advised that I needed to give him my credit card number or debit card information asap so I could resolve an outstanding dept from an online payday advance. When I began to question him further about who he was affiliated with and also requesting him to send me in writing he advised that he was holding a legal affidavit and he was going to walk it to the courthouse and I would be arrested in 5 days. Ha-- in further research of this number I have found several complaints also. I am sure this is a scam and what concerns me is that these people have all my information... Bill

I recieved the same type of call, James Brown, he is going to put me into jail, for a cash net pay day loan, now i have applied for one on line and paid it, I applied for many others the money was never wired to account. This must be a scam , they harras my 17yr old, same scenario, we have to put a stop to it i tried to call back , the number is always difficult to connect to. It ios awful they call my work stating they are officers from the crime bureau, i cant stop them, does anyone have any ideas.

Actually the dropdown menu didn't have the choice that I would call them for call type:They were: A prank caller, A set of Scammers by threat, they didn't actually mention debt collection, just being in a lot of trouble, sounding so****ing like this: (listen for a strong accent): You call me now or I too sorry for evrything your life today, do not ignore this message if you know what good for you....bla bla bla

These same scammers use 000-0000 type numbers and also numbers that are incomplete, you cannot call the number just the one they leave in the voice mail.Here's what I've found, if you answer, they **** up, try to call it back, it wont go out. The voice mail gives that exact same deep accented message, and they leave a number to call, when you call it they ask for the name that was mentioned in the message.  The fony name is always an English type name but the caller is either Indian or somewhere close to Inda.The number given to call back was based in Washington, but that doesn't mean the people you are talking to are.  Just tell them you know they are scammers, you know their names aren't real, and that they are being looked for by the secrete service, tell them that the law here states they must send a written bill of any debt with a time peroid to dispute the debt, and then offer to give them the number and address of your attorney to send it to and they will **** up!!!You did nothing, I know how it feels to have these clowns of evil disrupt a nice day, do not be afraid of them, but don't tug them on too much either, just contact the FBI and give them the information.

Got plenty more messages the name c****ed from James Brown to Michael Black and now Shawn White

We received a phone message from this number - could hardly understand a word - referring to a friend of ours who was "involved in a legal investigation" and sounding very threatening about our calling them back.  Thanks to the internet comments, we won't be bothered and won't worry about it!  How do they get the information to call with in the first place????"

I have gotten the same BullSh**.This guy's name was James Brown..LOL I dont know anyone that is a Sand Ni**** who has the Name james Brown..I told them i reported them to the FBI.As a matter a fact i called many of these so-called Debt collector numbers and always get someone of arabic decent Actually i have been giving it to these people pretty hard verbally..If it was a legit Debt collector they wouldnt sit there on an open line and curse back at you.What a joke.it is all fake.report this scam people.Ypu acn go to the FBI web site and put in a report.The more the better.Lets put these s*** bags out of buisness for good

RECEIVED A CALL FROM A OFFICER JASON ***TER REGARDING A PAYDAY LOAN, THEY CLAIM I TOOK OUT OVER THE INTERNET BY THE COMPANY NAME OF (US CASH ADVANCE) WHICH IS NOT TRUE.....DO NOT GIVE THEM YOU INFORMATION THEY ARE FRADULENT.

I've been getting the EXACT same message as the last post (nilah) Only he says his name is Jason ***ter. At first they had me so scared I almost did pay them. Until I asked for a mailing address to send payment and he stuttered for a moment and told me he had to have a debit or credit card number or bank acct. He refused to give me an address I continued to ask over and over to speak to someone i could understand and of course I never got anyone. He told me to go to western union right now and he would be calling back in 30 mins. he didnt call back for 3 days. Now he will not stop calling. There has to be so****ing to do to stop the calls other than c****ing my number.

I received an extremely rude and threatening voicemail (6/28/10) stating "This message is intended for kenilah Turner (Me). This is office James Brown calling from a legal department of BCI, that's bureau of crime and investigation and the reason I am calling you is that we have received a bunch of complaints on your name and your SSN. So the very second you receive my message, I need you or your attorney to return the call. Ths issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My hotline number is 919-424-5888. I repeat it is 919-424-5888. Don't try to disregard this message and do return the call. Now if you don't return the call or if I don't hear from an attorney either, the only thing I can do is wish you good luck on this situation as it unfolds around you." I called the number that was left on the message to see what it was pertaining to. I sopke with James Brown who then can me the case number of 0012NS and transferred me to a lady in which I did not get her name. The lady told me that I owed King Stance Finance/Financial for a payday loan for the amount above and that I needed to either pay it or make payment arrangements before 3pm EST 6/28/10 or my file would be sent and I would have to go to court. I then explained that I never received a pay day loan and I wanted the number of the company so that I may speak with them and a letter specifying the debt sent in the mail. The lady refused stating she would violate the law, citing defamation of character, by sending a letter in the mail without the debt being paid. She stated there were 3 charges placed a***nst me and that the company tried to contact me via email, which I never received.

I am so annoyed because Tina Walker keeps calling me saying I owe them money.  I wish IT WOULD STOP...I do not owe them money, but they keep telling me they are going to send police to my house and work to arrest me..where do I go from here????

I got a number on my cell from 919-424-5888. They told me that I can not return the call but my husband must. They specifically called him by nmae and said he is in a lot of legal trouble. The caller identified herself as Legal officer Nancy ? of the Depratment of Justice.  He is in relly bad leagal trouble that could affect his credit report and land him in jail if he doesn't respond. The lady had an accent that was hard to understand. It sounded like it was middle eastern or so****ing.

I was also called yes****ay. Answered the unknown caller. I couldn't understand the caller so I ***g up. They called back with a 212 number left a message. I called that number and it said the call could not be completed as dialed. I called the 919 number left on the message. I asked who the company was calling and the guy said Bureau of Criminal Investigation. However, the lady (Tina Walker) that left the message left Bureau of Criminal Identification. I told them to take me off their list. He took my name and ***g up on me!

Well, they (Tina Walker) called a***n this month for more money. I told them my lawyer will be contacting them to handle this matter, they asked when and I said today or tommorrow and they said ok no worries and quickly got off of the phone with me. I have reported them to the Attorney Generals Office, FTC, sent them certified Debt Verification Letter (I want to see if I get a confirmation back)and the North Carolina Invesitgators. I also c****ed my card number... seems like when I mentioned lawyer they were in a hurry to get off the phone. I wish these people will get caught.

I got a call from a person with a thick accent who was actually yelling into the phone.  They said they were going to come on my job and cause me lots of embarassment.  She said she was calling from BCI and left this number.

when you call this number back .. they answer*****O??? if this is a legitimate business why are you aNSwering like its your home ?? Roger Gibson is calling me about a friend who used me as a reference and HE IS THREATENING ME  with criminal charges  aaaahhh....good luck with that !! .... his accent is so thick i was barely able  to decipher his message .. and the man who answered had a thick accent as well claims to be from BCI .. Bureau of Criminal Investigations... this is not for me and i have advised time and a***n to NOT CALL ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

919-424-5888. Called my office phone claiming to be an officer Frank Harris. I have never meet someone with such a heavy Indian accent and a name like Frank Harris!

One more thing. If you call back with blocking your # (*67), you will go to voice mail right away. If these calls continue, Verizon in NY has a feature to trace the call back to law enforcement- *57

This person claims to be an "officer" - does not say where he is calling from. Just states there are criminal charges pending a***nst me. I tell him "I am not home" and try to get as much information as possible. He has a very heavy indian accent.  This person has called before using a California phone number to call back.

Officer Tony Brown from ?? Crime Investigations, called me telling me I owe money to a payday loan company US Cash Advance. His accent is so thick, I can't tell half of what he is saying, except that I owe money from a loan in 2009. I've never gotten a payday loan, money was never downloaded into my bank account. I'm tired of being harrassed!

This is a fraud company trying to ***n access to your accounts by claiming they are collecting on behalf of your loan company. They have detailed information on who you are, your account numbers, social, address etc. Be very careful as to NOT allow them access to anything.  Report them if they call.

I got a call from this number. They had a bogus claim that we owed them money. Never have heard of them before.
