I just received a call telling me that I had a free service being sent to me. I have no idea what this is about. I was asked to press 1 to receive a paid for system or 5 to cancel the whole deal and told I would not be contacted a***n. I just picked up the phone as I was expecting a call from a friend - otherwise, I wouldn't have answered it!!

Total Spam. "John from Medic Alert" sounded at first like a live person but soon realized it was a recording.

I got a call from this number today at 4:05pm CST and they said my system was down, and that someone has paid for the repair, and they'd like to come fix it. This scammers are pretty seriously evolving and trying real hard to get into your wallet and home. Don't ever confirm/deny any information, your name or other's names or acknol

I just got off the phone with Wisconsin Consumer Protection. They have the number listed as a scam. I was told that the state was being blanketed with calls "a couple of months ago, then it died down. But it seems to be picking up a***n now." The calls aren't even really coming from Wisconsin; they originate somewhere overseas. Consumer Protection advises having no conversation with them at all; just **** up. DO NOT give them ANY information.

Call came in around 2:30 PM on August 13, 2013. A man began speaking to me as if he knew me: "Hi, this is John. I;m just calling to tell you that we're ready to deliver your medical alert system." I told him we don't have a medical alert system, and he went into a spiel about how these have been recommended by thousands of doctors and hospitals. I told him we don;t want one, so don't call a***n. This number traces back to Green Bay, WI. The odd thing is that we just ordered a new stair lift -- how they knew that is a mystery to me. I called the chair lift company, and they confirmed that this is a scam. The Green Bay PD showed no interest when I called them.

A guy called and said my Medic Alert is ready to be installed and wanted to know what date and time would be good to come. I told him I wasn't interested, to please quit calling, and ***g up on him.

Received a recorded message from Medic Alert saying someone paid for a system, and it is ready to be delivered. I should press 1 to confirm I want it delivered or 5 if I don't. Totally bogus.

SPAM: this number left a v/m on my work number saying someone bought me a medical alert system. It's paid for and the shipping is paid for too. Call to schedule delivery. I NEVER ORDERED THIS. IT'S BOGUS.
