could a debt collector, this is a new tactic they are trying to trick people into answering or revealing personal information.if you don't know who it is or don't recognize the number and they don't tell you why they are texting you or calling, just don't answer or respond.  they will try any illegal scheme try to deceieve people.

Yeah they texted me saying "Sup".  I still get texts from the previous owner of this number, so I said that I was a new owner.  They said they didn't know who that person was, and was just trying to figure out who I was.  I asked them their name, and they said David and asked mine.  I thought it was an online friend, so I used their online alias to ask if it was them.  He said no.  I told him I didn't know who he was and stopped texting him.I believe it's possible that this guy is one of those kinds of people that scam texts random people to make them spend money on texting or so****ing.I don't know, but if you get a text from this guy, block him or ignore him or so****ing.
