These guys are great. I cancelled my subscription to the San Jose Mercury News. When I did, the person asked me why, I told them I did not like their newspaper, or its politics. So the guy then offers me a better deal. I laughed (since he obviously did not pay any attention to what I just said) and requested a final bill. Within a few days, I began receiving a ton of phone calls from various numbers (including this one) trying to sell me newspaper subscriptions. It is obvious the SJ Mercury had sent my contact number to these services. Even better, about a month later, I received a notice from a bill collection agency indicating they were collecting on an OVERDUE bill ($13.95!). Apparently rather than sending me a final bill, the SJ Mercury sent my bill to this collection agency. I hope this tells you a little about the San Jose Mercury News. Fortunately, I think this newspaper will be bankrupt soon as its business practices (along with it lousy content) really ****.

This number constantly calls a business line. W***ver is calling never leaves a message either. Very annoying!

They call me pretty much daily, and today I got called twice. Have asked to be taken off the list weekly since Aug 08, it never happens. Today, I got in touch with the person who inputs the do not call info, so if you call the number that calls you, 925.***.8111 and then hit *0, ask for Gina. Don't know if it's going to work, but hey, let's all give them a call daily and see how they like it!!

Looks like this is the Contra Costa Times...this **** of a man left a message on my cell phone saying "hmm...guess we should just call this the lay off paper -- uhh huhh...budwiser, mmmm...uhh huhhh - good grief..I have told them twice to stop call me!!!

I receive a phone call from this number atleast once a week. I have been asked to be taken off their list 3 times, and I still get phone calls!

This is a newspaper company****ociated with the CC Times, Oa****d Tribune, Tri-Valley Herald and other.  They ask you to say your phone number on a recording twice to remove it - weird.Hopefully it works - this drives me nuts.

I've told them numerous times to take me off their call list. That lasts about a month, maybe two. Then the calls s**** a***n! They don't leave a message if I'm not home, so with caller ID, I don't answer. Unfortunately, my husband does :-(
