Incessant calls. Not interested in their product(s). When I called number back, option 1 on automated message was for "AT&T Customers". Long listed on national DNC list. I may contact my state Attorney General's Office.

This caller at this number calls my number repeatedly. I want this stopped

Calls all the time . I have no idea what they want. I do not answer their calls. i am on the dnc list and I still recieve calls from etech and other telemarketers.

Who is this and what do they want??? They call multiple times daily during working hours and on weekends, never leaving a message. This is a very annoying practice! I will file a complaint with the FCC as my number is on the DNC registry.

Finally called to report to the phone company and got myself caller ID. This is so childish. I tried calling the number back and was told that it is not a working number then got a busy signal. Hope it stops now!! Bedtime, morning noon and dinner calls just keep coming in.

I placed the call on speaker so my husband and I share the entertainment.  The girl spoke poor English although it was apparent she was American, just not well educated.  She would pause and mess up her s***ch frequently.  I couldn't hold back my giggles several times.  We told her we were interested in saving money and she asked for my social security number, full name, home address, phone number, and date of birth.  I informed her that we don't give out that information over the phone and she thanked me then ***g up.  My husband and I were shook up and worried for others after hearing that she wanted such private and important information over the phone.  It sounded like obvious fraud.

They market ATT services. We told the man on the phone we were NOT interested, but keep on calling, sometimes twice in the same day. I am going to report them to the FCC because our number is in do not call list.

Wow, you guys are way too paranoid.I used to work for Etech and the company IS NOT a scam.They are hired by other companies, mainly AT&T and Dish network to make telemarketing calls to their customers. We do not claim that we ARE AT&T, we call on behalf of AT&T.If you have a problem with the calls, then call AT&T directly and cancel your f***ing services! Idiots.

As a telemarketer and a homeowner, I appreciate both ends of this rgumentative  posts.I call business in solitarily and have not had the privilege of connecting with the valued customers of AT&T (BellSouth), but I have been on the receiving side of these phone calls that seem to annoy half of the public.  What I hope to convoy is a reasonable explanation for these courtesy calls and to share a ho****TECH Inc. is a third party communicator, a middle-man, in between AT&T (BellSouth) and yourself, the valued customer.  They are NOT trying to harass you or scam you in any way. Rather, they are only trying to contact you to see how to better help you, how to reduce your bills and put money in your pocket, while still providing the services that built AT&T into the company that it is today.1.If you would not like to here about current promotions. Please speak with the****ociate courteously; they are people with feeling also.  Ask to be put on the AT&T/BELLSOUTH/E-TECH DO NOT CALL LIST. 2.IF call persist  after a 2 week period then proceed in calling the FCC, at: 1-888-CALL-FCC … 1-888-225-53223.    This is the only process worthwhile in reducing telemarketing calls, if not stopping them as a whole.AT&T is known for their excellent customer service and for keeping in step with the times that we are living in.  Their deals are known to excel next to their quality.  True they may get over zealous when it comes to informing you about their products and prices.  They are only trying to serve you fully, so please show patience in this regard.   You might be surprise and find that the****ociate can be very helpful.Monica M. The best way get rid of telemarketing calls, just conversant with them and give a genuine reason that you are really not interested. They dispose the call as not interested and probably you won’t get any calls for at least next six months. I know this because I am also a telemarketer.

Tiasmom they are calling on behalf of AT&T, I know because I work for Etech and used to work on that campaign. If you get a call from Etech it is legit (even if it may annoy you) They are allowed to call because you have a business relationship with w***ver Etech is contracted by to call for. AT&T uses your number to try to sell more stuff to you. This is AT&T's fault, not Etech's.

Caller ID gives "ETECH" and 936-559-2200. When we answer, no one is there. At least 4 times per day to my business line, so very disruptive to work productivity.

This is a telemarketer for Dish Network and they are a supreme pain in the a**.  We have Directv and have had them for years.  I've told those Dish people many many many times I'm not interested but they just keep bugging the **** out of me!  I would love to get a hold of the person's number and call them at say or 3:00 a.m. every night for a solid month and see how they like it.   ****heads!

These guys do NOT work for AT&T; caller ID shows ETECH. Caller began by informing me that since our phone services are now deregulated that we need to c****e our phone system from AT&T to another company, a name that I can't remember since I've never heard it. He was rude and loud, talking that 'telematrash' (telemarketing trash) and wouldn't let me say a word. A***n, they do NOT work for AT&T, but want you to c****e your phone service provider.

I work for Etech. If you have a business relationship with AT&T who they call on behalf of, then they are exempt from the Do Not Call Lis. If you want them to stop calling simply ask the caller to put you on the company's Do Not Call list, and they will. A***N!!!! It's not a violation if you have a relationship with the company (such as AT&T)

LISTEN UP PEOPLE & LET ME EDUCATE YOU!! …. I want to let you all know that I sympathize with  each and every one of you! I used to worked for eTech in Nacogdoches, TX.  We were not allowed to say that we are AT&T, but instead were instructed to say that we are “Calling on behalf of AT&T.” AT&T (Bell South) contracts Etech to call on their customers (from 7am - 8pm) to “Upgrade” their services i.e. Long distance plans, DSL & phone features (call waiting, caller ID, 3-way calling, etc.). We are taught to “Bundle” a customers service. In other words, to combine all services into a package for a lower monthly bill (lower than paying for the features separately).As the call is dialed, your name/account with AT&T is displayed on the computer screen. Not your entire account. It automatically displays the basic amount of your bill and what services you are currently paying for. It also tells the eTech employee what features/bundles you qualify for.  It is up the eTech employee to “up-sell” your account.  The eTech employee is paid a base salary or commission, which ever is higher. Commissions depend on what they “sell” you.Unfortunately, people think that just because they are on the National or State  Do Not Call List they should not be receiving these calls. What they don’t know is that these calls are legal! They are legal because you have done business with the company within the past 30 days! Since you get your phone service thru them you obviously are doing business with them, therefore they (AT&T or any company they hire) are allowed to call you! At the end of each call, the eTech employee must “disposition” the call. Meaning, they have to place that call into a “Category”.  Calls answered by a Answering Ma****e, are disposition  for an automatic call back with 2-3 hours! Calls answered by a some one other than the customer (not a “decision maker”) they are disposition  for a call back! IF YOU SIMPLY **** UP OR GET IRRATE & **** UP … THE CALL IS DISPOSITIONED FOR AUTOMATIC CALL BACK!! IF YOU SAY YOU ARE ON THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST … THE CALL IS DISPOSITIONED FOR AUTOMATIC CALL BACK!! PEOPLE, HERE IS WHERE YOU COME IN, IF YOU DISREGARD THIS INFORMATION, TRUST ME … THE CALLS WILL CONTINUE!!  DO NOT **** UP! YOU MUST TELL THE CALLER TO PLACE YOU ON THE AT&T/BELLSOUTH/E-TECH DO NOT CALL LIST! EACH AND EVERY CALL IS RECORED! WRITE DOWN THE NAME OF THE PERSON YOU ARE TALIKG TO! I had, and still do have impeccable work ethics. I refused to “up sell” people who could not afford it .. I refused to “mix-my words” so to give the “impression” that a customers bill would be less. (This is NOT how we are trained, but MANY employees take it upon themselves to do so, to get the “sale” ) When I worked at eTech I was successful because I put myself into the s***s of my customer. Seven out of ten calls when speaking to the customer, I would be able to give them a better more complete service for  about the same or slightly more than what they were paying.  I would jot done the customers name & phone number & provide a personal follow up call to make sure everything was as I said it would be! And if it wasn’t, I corrected it!  I quit not because of the company, but because I got tired of working with people who only cared about the bottom line .. Their paycheck! I'm FED UP with the numerous calls everyday from etech. etech works for at & t, and are en***led to call you even if you are on the do not call list, if you are an at & t or bell south customer. I got a call from Etech telling me to disconnect from the internet. I called AT&T Tech Support and warned them. Whatever you do, don't listen to Etech. Don't even disconnect from the internet and reconnect it or your computer will be hijacked. If you get a call from Etech, contact your phone company and alert them.

Etech inc is actually a third party call center. If you don't answer the phone then the calls get dispoistioned as an answering ma****e and the dialer will automatically call you back later. I work for this company, so I would know.

I have found a good sports whistle near the phone helps with these calls. Give the person at the other end time to pick up, then give the whistle a loud ****. The callers are wearing headsets. I rarely get called a***n by the same company. It has put a stop to the Allied Interstate
