I for one am getting calls from these idiot from a number out of Houston. They demanded to speak with my lawyer and ***g up on me when I told them I was a full time student with a part time job how the heck am I supposed to afford a lawyer!  I have s****ed a blog about this with what I am doing. I have filed complaints a***nst the them with the FTC, the Attn Gen of Houston Tx, and the Attn Gen for the state of TN where I live.  Here is my blog if you want to see what I am doing to collect information. I also applaud Mary for putting the messages on You Tube! That is the same ***** with the Indian Accent who keeps calling me!!! They seem to get the most aggressive with my voice mail on Friday and Monday!! Trust me, this is a scam. And I don't care what "Jeff Scott" says, yes they are running a scam!!!Here is my blog on this matter. Hey everyone! I just got not one, not two, but 8 different calls from COOPER LAW FIRM (which must be in the middle east considering their accents). They said they were a law firm and that they were based in California, but they gave me the number "9405802449" to call them back which is in TEXAS. To top it off, they called and talked to me 7 times within 15 minutes today. Plus, they threatened to "follow this case to the court house" throughout the call. I recorded ALL the calls! Plus I even got 2 videos of me on 2 of the phone calls. I put the videos on YOUTUBE so others will know. Now what can we do to file complaints? TO EVERYONE WHO HAS FALLEN VICTEM OF THIS SCAM. I also recived this call about the US Cash Services. that they were going to sue my husband. These people had his SSN and our bank account number so everyone watch your accounts. They will take out money.

Ok, I am a Police Officer in ******a and I have been hit by this scam also! Apparenty the Middle East's Indiana Jones-Harrison Ford is calling me from this number to my cell phone and my Police Department number!! He has stated the same thing on his message as others have seen, threating me with Good Luck if I don't have my attorney call immediatley. I have done some research and THERE IS NOT a Coopers law firm in TX, they are stating that I asked for a cash advance and once the money was deposited in my bank account (they named a bank I don't do business with) I never paid the company UNITED STATES CASH ADVANCE back so they are going to send an investigative team to my house with a search warrant to drag me to the court house for 3 counts of criminal activity like internet and check fraud and theft by deception for the amount of $5484.87. Plus they will send a notice to my boss stating that I have committed these illegal acts. They are willing to be nice and settle out of court if I get them 2 pre paid debt cards in the amount of $913 and fax them the information so I won't go to jail! I know I should be really upset about this but it is so much fun to mess with scammers!! I have now called them 15 times since I received the original phone call this morning, trying to get them to tell me what country they are calling me from. I have reported this to the FTC but I doubt anything will every be able to be done about it. So I am taking a stand and sending fake debt numbers to their fax ma****e to cause them as much distress and they are putting us through. ALSO EVERYONE NEEDS TO IMMEDIATLEY PUT A FRAUD ALERT ON THEIR CREDIT BUREAU REPORTS AND LOG A COMPLAINT WITH THE FCC. IF WE DON'T REPORT IT NOTHING WILL EVER BE DONE ABOUT IT. This person Harrison Ford  called from a unknown number on March 17,2010 at 6:02 pm said he was looking for my daughter and it was bad luck for my daughter and she was in a lot of trouble and it was urgert that I get in touch with my daughter and there was no way that I could back out of this legal matter and that I was a very important part of this matter and that he had all the information he needed.And also he said that he was with Cooper Law Firm. I  got upset thinking that my daughter was in trouble so I called him and he told me that she owed money to a US CASH ADVANCE  He had very broken english could not understand what he was saying. I then called my daughter all up set thinking she was in a lot of trouble. After more investagation my daughter went home and got on the computer and found out that this person has called several other people and found out that this is a scam going on. So If you get a message from some on this person please don't information. I made a copy of the voice mail that the Mr Harrison Ford left and I am going to see that this information get's to the proper people.

*** I just got a private call from the same guy who could not speak english and said the same thing if I didn't call him back then all he could do is wish me luck and said he was calling from cooper law office, and he could not speak english worth a ****. I called the number back and the message said leave your name and number and number and had a beeping sound after it. This is scary cuz I have no clue on what's nor who this person is. He said his name was Harrison Ford.

I s****ed recieving phone calls today from Cooper Law firm with a guy who could even speak f-ing english. The number that called me is (940)580-2400. They call you private and then leave a threatening message saying that if you dont call him back then all he can do is wish you good luck. I called them back to see what it was and they told me i owed them $5,000 some dollars wich is BS. They said if I wasnt going to pay it they would have to take furthur actions and i told them go right ahead. They said that they were going to send me a summons in the next 24hours. I called my attorney and told him what happend and he told me not to do anything till they sent me the summons. Now since Im not the only one that had this problem, i now know that it is a scam.Before I called them back they called me 8 times.  I advise you not to call these people back.

I received a call on march 10th froma guy named Mr. Stan. He said he was calling from a law office and gave me a case number. He said United Cash was taking me to court on a debt from a payday that I never paid off. I never have taken a loan with a company called cash advance. He wanted to settle with him and give him my credit card info. He also wanted me to send a him a statment and a photo copy of my drivers lic. He gave me a fax number to fax my info. My husband told me not to do it and that it was a scam. I called him later and asked him for a website so i can read up on them. He refused to give it to me and ***g up. Someone needs to bust this guy, so he does not steal peoples money from tem. What a croo****!

This Guy told me I was being sued by united cash advanced and I need to either settle now by paying $986 or go to court and pay $3800. He called me up and s****ing yelling at me that once it goes to court my employer will be notified of this lawsuit and i could get fired. Very upset!

i got the same call yes****ay. guys name was mike johnson. told him i didnt have a loan with them and gave them my attorneys info and that they should contact them.someone should beable to trace that number that they gave us 940-580-2400.

I just got called by them and it was word for word.  Stanley or Mike Johnson.  Also, said they from Cooper Law Firm in Dallas, TX.  Which is absolute **** because I called them.

A man named Stanley called me at work and informed me I was being sued by US Cash Advance. for a loan I defaulted on. now I am being sued for $5000.00 and that I need to acquire a lawyer by tomorrow. And I will receive more information VIA fax within 24-48 hrs. I was not authorized to see any of the information involved in the case, and once I have secured a lawyer they will discuss the exacts with them. I have never had a Cash advance loan, and didnt default, so i kept asking questions at which point Stanly informed me that he didnt have to answer my questions and then ***g up on me.... so I called back, and demanded to speak to someone higher, to which he replied there is no one around him. so He in his broken english was obviously the acting attorney of this firm... VERY HARD to believe.... He had all of my info SSN, Telephone number, Banking info, Place of employment... everything but the fact that I didnt owe anyone money... then I called my mom to figure out what to do and we googled the # and discovered others who have been harrassed by this scam....

I received a similar call, it is bogus, the case number he gave me wasnt legitimate or existent in either washington state or federal courts. Rest****ured if you receive a call from them you can tell them to f*** off with no negative consequence!

This happinging to me as well.. They have called my place of employment as well as threaten me and my bosses. This is a scam and needs to be stopped. Any one with any info please report it. The # the gave me was 940-580-2400 his name was Stanley... Very ****** language and threating. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFO. My suggestion is dont call them back at all. He told me it would be in my best intrest to call him back or pay the consquences.. Really Professional someone who thinks he is An ATTORNEY... what law school did he go to.. I guess not one in the states.
