Same number, caller ID said State W so I didn't answer

Sorry, but don't believe the previous message that this group is legitimate. They are not! They will not remove your number. They only give a tiny portion of the money so they can call themselves a charity and they are not tied to any law enforcement group. It is a telemarketing company scamming people out of their money. We can't get the federal or state government to stop them, so spread the word and if people will stop giving money, they will be put out of business.

I received the same caller ID saying "State Wide" Never pick up the phone when I don't recognize the number.

I seriously doubt this is from "a legitimate Texas State Troopers fund raising".Why would they call out of state numbers?

The calls from this number are from a legitimate Texas State Troopers fund raising call center. I just received one and have received them in the past. I actually had a friend in Denton, Texas that worked for the call center. As far as being on the do not call list, it unfortunately does not eliminate state, local or national fund raising calls. When reading the information on the do not call list website it will give you reasons as to why they are not included. You can however, once they stop asking for a donation, ask them to remove your number from their list and they should do so. It may take a couple of times because as with any call center, the person on the other end may not actually know how to do it and doesn't bother asking for help while trying to remove your number.

They have been calling me for about 3 weeks straight and they don't leave any voice mail.  I am also on the do not call list.  Can someone please shut them down or report them so I don't get interrupted at work anymore.

From State Wide on my caller ID--incessant calls days, nights, weekends even though I am supposed to be on the national do not call list.Stop it!

Also on the do not call list but that didn't stop the alleged State Troopers fundraiser through STATE WIDE a relentless fundraising group. They are rude.

Received a call from this number this morning - Caller ID says "State Wide".  I picked it up and got that familiar "telemarketing" delay before someone came on the line so I ***g up.

Call ID said 940-799-1069  STATEWIDEAnswered and man calling for Texas State Trooper Fund aggressivelytried to get my attention while I was asking that my name and number be removed from their list. This may not be a legitimate group gatheringmoney for this supposed cause.

I got a call from this number on Thursday afternoon but I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer it. No voicemail message was left.
