Supposedly my grandson called to say he was in jail after hitting a pregnant woman in a car accident. Then Atty Mark Stevens called to say $5000 cash was required to bail my grandson out of jail. I called my local Sheriff's office who indicated it was likely a scam after checking accident reports that did not show my grandson's name. This scammer received no cash from me.

Said a relative was in Jail and needed 22,000 to send it to the bondsman who will call you back

Call from son of friend who said they were in custody for DUI and needed help in bail. Friend identified Atty who was to call. Received a call for 22k bail. When told I didn't have that much on hand wanted to know what I could afford. ***g up when asked about bail bondsman name. Called back and same voice answered saying he was Stanley Weaver.

Called to say a family member was in jail after hitting a pregnant female.

Male said he was a lawyer for someone we knew and the person we knew was in jail and needed help. This is after a lady called and said she was in a car accident and the accident was her fault and she was in jail.

Scam Relative presumably arrested wire money for a designated Bail Bondsman.
