Leave a CommentI worked at Global Prospects as well many years ago. I quit because one of the owners was just a mean person in general. However, that being said, it really is not a scam it is a timeshare promotions company that only books appointments for people to take the timeshare tour. They get paid by the timeshare places for each person that shows up for thier appointment. It is high pressure sales at the timeshare tour but you don't have to buy anything and when it is over you get your certificates for your vacation. They ask you to tell them your income level because the timeshare place doesn't want to pay for a free vacation for people who don't have the means to purchase the timeshare should they choose to in the tour (after all they are a business). Like the previous person said, they have automatic dialers which sometimes doesn't alert the caller fast enough that someone has picked up and that is why no one says*****o. There is nothing to worry about though except having the willpower to say no in the high pressure time share tour.
I would like to state the truth..I working at Global Prospects around two years ago...the place is not filth and it is not a scam...If you ask questions you will get the truth from them...I told everyone upfront what it was about...IT IS A TIMESHARE....you go to the ****** timeshare seminar and sit through the tour and then you get vouchers for your vacation...if you do not want them to call simply put your name on the do not call list or ask them to put your name on the do not call list....by law they DO NOT contact you a***n...it is not that hard. The company is not trying to scam anyone and they are not s***bags...they are responsible for booking the appointment and nothing else....to say anything else is a downright lie...yes there are employees there that are are trying to get paid to not work but that is not the only reason you get the ****ups....the phone calls are through an automatic dialer which means the appointment setters do not hear anything except a beep and then they say*****o...half of the time they do not hear anything on the other end so they **** up.
Ahh..telemarketing timeshare s***. Bottom of the barrel.
A big THANK YOU to "The Truth"! I did some checking and your info is spot-on.***** Gorda, FL also came up in my search. So tired of the harassing calls, life is difficult enough without these parasites ****ing up your phone 24/7.It's a shame that s***bags like this roam the earth with decent people. They prefer to swindle others out of their hard-earned money, than earn an honest dollar for themselves.Hopefully, by exposing these vile, dregs of society it will help others escape this scam. I feel so sorry for those that are more naive and unsuspecting, like the elderly. These leeches target them for a fast buck. Here's the email for the board of commissioners in charlotte county:[email protected]'s a direct link to the Better Business Bureau's status of Global Prospects, they get an F.http://www.bbb.org/west-florida/business-revi ... tte-fl-90032274
This phone number belongs to a company called "Global Prospects", located in Port Charlotte Florida. Essentially, they are a scam, and pretend to represent Festiva Resorts, Colonial Crossings, and Wyndham Alexandria. Basically, it is a telemarketing scam which is designed to get you to purchase a very ****py timeshare. Complaints about these "companies" and their practices are strewn all over the web on complaints.com and ripoffreport.comHow do I know this, you ask ?Because I worked for them. I hated the job, btw, because I knew it was a scam. They treat their employees terribly, and use all sorts of illegal/************ ****ods in both their hiring, firing, and calling practices. I'm not doing this as a form of revenge, either- simply posting the truth because I don't want folks to get caught in their scheme. If you want to call them direct, you can get ahold of them @ (***)613-1870. My apologies to anyone who I ended up convincing to sign up for their "tour". Please spread the word to people so that they cannot continue to exist as a company.Global Prospects, You have been exposed now, and people are going to tear you to shreds. I personally took the liberty of contacting people in the areas you target whom I know on a personal level, and have encouraged them to spread the word about your nonsense. The office/working conditions were filthy. The practices were nothing short of fascist, deceptive, and exploitive. Your offers are scams designed to get people to go to a high pressure sales pitch for so****ing they will inevitably be very upset and frustrated with.By the way, the company is owned by Eileen and Frank Teague and Martin Apell. It has moved to 23081 Harbor View Road, Port Charlotte Fl 33980 (according to my W-2). Their phone number has not c****ed as of this date (***)613-1870 however, and they are still running ads in the port charlotte sun newspaper for hiring people at a deceptive wage.
not a scam ... just a really bad company. to stop getting calls ... add your # to the national dnc list . ( https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx ) . stay on the phone and tell them you are on the do not call list ..interested in a timeshare ? i strongly suggest you call someone else .. anyone else .. this company is bad.. customer service is non existant. flat out lies to customers. good luck to anyone who is forced to deal with them.
I don't know this people, I think this is a scam, if they call back, I yell at them because it's illegal to try solicit. **** it !But I put this number in my block list, and hope that they can't annoy me anymore.

I have been getting cellphone calls from this number every day for a month. I even called them twice and asked them to stop and take my number off their list, which they haven't. Don't know how I got on this list, but they are pesky as heck.
This is a scam, most likely an iden***y theft scam. The very lazy sheriff's office in Port Charlotte, FL don't want to do didly about it either. The company is working out of a residential area: 861 haleybury, port charlotte, florida, 33948 which is in violation of county code. The company is a pain in the neck and scammers. They are also harrassing countless innocent people with their **** up calls. The reason we are all getting **** up calls is that "Global Vacations aka Global Prospect aka Smart Global Vacations are being scammed also! Their workers pretend ***ody answers so the workers don't have to hear the recipient scream at them. The workers look "busy" to their bosses, and look like they are making many calls but aren't really getting the job done. What goes around, comes around! Haha!
This company, Global Prospects, has called my house everyday for the last 8 days. I'm on the "Do not call list" and don't answer unknown numbers anyway. However, this is the only call I get that doesn't seem to be calling with the law. I purposely do not enter drawings or raffles because I know they can call and sell your number.
This number showed on my cell phone and when I answered I got three beeps and then disconnected.
Do not return the call. "Global Prospect" is a cover for a "fishing" scam. They try to get personal info needed to verify a "free" vacation!
I just found out today that this number shows up when people call me from an online service such as skype or others!! so your friends might be playin pranks on you....this bugged me for the past 3 weeks!
I'm getting 2 to 3 phone calls a day from this number (***-883-2671) and when I answer there is no one on the other end. I am disabled and it is not easy for me to get to the phone. I just want to be left alone!!!
I ahve gotten calls from thei number a few days in a row and when i pick up, they **** up. it is very annoying.
I too got a call naming my husbands name and stating he won a vacation package from a drawing he entered at Great Lakes Crossing Mall. They also left a 800 number to return their call. Global Prospect was the name on the caller ID.
I've gotten 4 calls from this number this week.. .first time I picked up... no answer, last 3 I send to VM but no VMI called the number... says it's the promotions dept at global vacations... but the mail box is full..... Next time they call if someone responds... they're going to get a verbal beating
I have received a call from this number every day, sometimes twice, and everytime I pick up the phone, they just **** up. Its really annoying. No message left either.
I recieved a call from this number at 11:18. I didn't answer so they left a message. They didn't say who the call was for, but said that someone in my family won a vacation package because of a sweepstakes entry filled out at a party, it almost sounded like they said "Harry****ter party that will not be named." They didn't where this vacation was to. They also left an 800-number to call. The caller ID did say they call was from Global Prospect. It's just really weird how my experience with this number is so different from everyone else's.
