Threatening legal action - same as other people reporting. I let the call go to voicemail and the "caller" could barely speak properly and spoke so fast. Deleted message and blocked #.
had a complaint and were going to serve papers, to stop the complaint call this number 951-402-0372
Initially got a call from a number with my local area code. Told me to call this number about do***ents that would be delivered to my address. When I called this number the guy said he needed to verify me with my DOB and it was completely wrong. He immediately said sorry we will remove your number from our list…scammers who had bad information.
Call about a credit card bill that could be from 15 years ago and says you’ll need a lawyer . They will know the last 4 of you social your current address and your name from your phone number…. Funny since my phone is a company phone and not under my name… also supposedly this law firm doesn’t even exist anymore….
They pretended to be a law firm handling a case from someone that I barely knew years ago.
They left no agency name and mentioned do***ents (offered no description of said do***ents) that were being prepared to be sent to my house. Adding a threat that if no one was there to receive said do***ents that they would be delivered to the place of employment. Finally they said if I wanted to avoid any further punitive action I needed to call the number in question.
This is a scam some dirtbag law offices have s****ed doing. They buy debts that are past the statute of limitations and are hoping someone would be dumb enuff to give them any money. Once you do or admit the debt they can now come after you for another 7 years. It is 100% illegal and is why they will not give you any company information so you cant report them.
Pure scam. Said they were serving papers for some Sears credit card debt. Seriously, they couldn't pick a company that was still in business?
Said I owe for Best Buy Internet.... best buy doesn't have internet. They said I would be served papers at my home tomorrow. This number was given to me
Left case . Have do***ents. Mention deceased step mother??¿?
Had do***ents
Claimed to be looking for a cousin that I have not spoken to in ten years, claimed do***ents would be sent to my employment, gave 8 digit case number and this phone number to call back
Got a call from some random person to call a law firm because they have a case a***nst me. Idk why I even called the number smh. Some ****ed off lady picks up and says Bally total fitness is suing me for 4k because I failed to make a payment. Like *** are u talking about u guys have been closed for 15 years.
As noted in the other comment, no agency name, was calling regarding a complaint in their office a***nst my ex sister-in-law. Threatened to deliver whatever paperwork to my work.
Got a call from a different number saying I was being sued and to call this number. Clearly a scam.
The call is definitely some type of scam. It was directed to my husband who passed away 6 years ago. They left no agency name and mentioned documents (offered no description of said documents) that were being prepared to be sent to my house. Adding a threat that if no one was there to receive said documents that they would be delivered to the place of employment. Finally they said if I wanted to avoid any further punitive action I needed to call the number in question.
