They are a collection agency for HSBC bank card. Lady seemed really nice, and wanted to offer me a settlement to pay off. Guess I will have to call her back to let her know my decision soon.

Just got the same "John" wanting to know if I made a decision on my Best Buy account and that we spoke several weeks ago. I have not spoke to anyone on the phone regarding a Best Buy account(which is HSBC btw)

Caller is "John" (somebody - cannot understand last name - "from CPC."  What/who is CPC?

I think this is CPC, but I haven't been able to verify this.  Other CPC numbers are in the 952 area code as well.  No one else from that area code calls me.
