I got a call from Dominic Spencer regarding a payday loan.  When he call my job his number come up zero. This is a scam....

I got a call and they were asking for my husband, this is a scam, going back in June 2010, it happen to me the same thing, and I paid it to find out the number that they called me from was discounted. Please do not fall for this it is a scam!

This was the call back number for 'Dominic Spencer'  Who is trying to collect a debt that  I do not owe.When he calls there is no number that shows up on caller ID.  He and others with similar stories have called my home repeatedly for several months.The caller usually has an middle-eastern or East Indian accent and asked to speak to me. Actually he asked If I was Jo (last name) and I said yes.He went on to say he represented a client (never said who) and was trying to collect a debt and if I didn't clear the matter up I could be arrested, He rattled off my SSN well, all most - I didn't correct him. He asked if I wanted to take care of this matter now with a payment, if not his 'client' would seek legal action.Well, I knew he was BSing when he said someone would come and arrest me. if there's one thing I DO know it's that there's no Debtor's prison in the US. I could owe everybody and their brother a million dollars and as long as I didn't steal it I'm good. You'll have to sue me.so I told the guy that I wouldn't be making a payment and advised him to tell his client to seek that legal action.Every phone call the person is reluctant to give out any information on the debt - or exactly what company they work for or even where they are located.   The last phone call I got the person said they were located in Florida but stumbled when I asked for the city.  It took them several minutes to spit out St. Petersburg.  No street address was ever given.By no means do I think they are truthful with any of their information they are scammers.
