I also received a call on November 24th from a Roger stateing that he was an attorney and that I needed to pay $1600.00 for the cornstone gym plus his for research. He stated that i needed to sign a Release of Claims immediately, i than call the office and the receptionist answered and did not want to give me her name all she said was that she was just the receptionist, refused to give me her name, and will put me on hold.

Dont know if this is the number but i received a call from this company over a probable medical bill payment from my moms outpatient surgery of 2,000 bucks that we havent paid off since we are more interested in getting over more important payments through..   the guy wouldnt give me no info, just told me when my mother would be home by..

i have been wondering the same thing because they are willing to make a settlement with me an when i called there number back it the voicemail was set up like a cell phone which seems super sketchy...an the own claims to be alex richards but yet its called preston powers and stone...which makes it even skethcyier

Roger Edwards called me mutilple times stating that he was representing a law firm called "Preston, Powers and Stone." After some research i called back and spoke to the secretary and asked her if this was a law firm.  She said that it was a third party collection agency and sounded stunned when i told her that Mr.Edwards was saying that it was a law firm.  So i spoke to him a told him why he was saying that he was repensenting a law firm.  He denied it multiple times saying that he never did.  Then he s****ed with the at***ude so in return i s****ed with mine.  I told him that i looked up the address and the name of the firm and that nothing came up.  I told him the only name that came up was Credit Managers Resource Group.  He tried saying that was a second group and not his.  This collection was for the Pharr Gym whom i guess ***** you over on a no contract month-to-month membership.  He tried to collect almost $1,000 then saying that he was going to send it to a law firm. I told him that it was a no contract and told him that there was no date on the contract for when it expired. He got more ****ed when i told that i was a victim of iden***y theft and had to close my bank accounts due to that fact. He had the nerve to make fun of me and said "oh really like everyone else also has iden***y theft". What an a**hole.  I think BBB and other govenment agencies need to look into them. Calling and saying that they are representing a law firm that dosen't exist is fraud.  Also Pharr Gym needs to be looked into with the month-to-month contracts that ***** you over at the end and then give your info to a non-existing law firm that harr***** you.

The exact same request was made of me, for the same reason.  They threatened to sue if I did not pay.  I asked if it was possible to settle out of court and they told me the original balance would still be owed in full even if i settled.  That does not make sense.

i made the mistake of signing up with cornerstone also, I was going through a crazy time in my life and this collection agency called several times every day. I'm finally paying this off and it ****s because i went to the gym twice they tried to collected $1,000.00 from me, but settled for less. What a shame

I received a call from "Preston , Powers, and Stone" Roger Edwards, saying that we owed a debt with pharr gym. I asked if he was a collection agency he said no, I asked if the debt had been sold to him by pharr gym the answer was no. I asked if he was was emplaoyed by pharr gym he said no. So why does this guy have my phone number and personal information if he has no legal right to it???? Shady!!!!!!!

I also have received phone calls from Preston, Powers, and Stone some guy named Roger Edwards representing what I believe to be an Attorney.  He stated that I owe an outstanding balance from an old gym membership.  He proceeded to advise me that if I didn't pay them the balance then they would proceed to take legal action a***nst me.  I req. some sort of proof and release from the gym before I pd. he stated that then I would have to pay the difference for research... That just doesn't sound right>>>>>>

We hired Credit Managers Resource Group (CMR Group) to collect two accounts for our small business. We placed the accounts with them in the beginning of July, one of the clients paid them within two weeks, it is now mid-September and we have not received payment.  We have been completely unable to get a status on the other account, we regularly do not get replies to emails, and they got angry and defensive when we called to complain and demand payment.  Because we still have not received a check, I can not vouch that they are a real collections agency, only that they took all of the information on our collections to collect them for us.

i got a letter from them too saying if i dont pay they are gonna sue me can they sue me or just put me through bad credit

Mr. William Moores/Antonio Morris left me a Non Professional Voice mail  so I called them back yes I'm willing to pay 700.00 which is nothing but how do  I know their legit??????????

They also called me and pretended to be a law firm threatening to sue me...just not right.

they are calling from corner stone, its regarding an outstanding balance from CORNER STONE, even if you sign up for a no contract.

They have been calling me about once a month for a guy named Jeffery for a few months now.  I saw online that this number actually belongs to Credit Managers Resource Group.

It's Preston Power's and Stone debt collectors pretending to be a law firm....they are harassing me too.

this guy said it was a law office, does anyone know how they get their info? I'm in michigna and they are in texas.....

Need to find out who it is.
