Leave a CommentI got their call while I was in the process of reporting scam calls to donotcall.gov (which is another problem in itself as I don't think any one is doing anything about these calls). For people like this I like to **** a whistle as loud and long as I can until they **** up. This indian scam artist just would not get the hint. So I finally had to tell him not to call a***n, I was reporting his number and ***g up on him. Now I wish I had just wasted his time as much as possible by leaving the phone on.
If I have the time I just PRETEND to be doing as they ask using up as much of their time as I can. When I think that they are cat****g on I just tell them that they need to take a good look at their lives and get an honest job.
Reported this to NoMoRobo and to Youmail to blacklist this number due to excessive Robo calls initiated from Call Center reported on multiple web sites tracking ABUSE. For those who have submitted complaints and spoken with the caller, they claim to be a remote computer repair service provider for Microsoft Windows. I did *67 to block my VOIP number to call back & had an automated attendant indicate "The number you are trying to reach no one is available. Please leave a message after the beep". For those with Android devices your so much better off in being able to prevent repeat calls. For those with iPhone I recommend using FREE app YouMail to ditch calls. For calls made to Landline, I subscribe to http://nomorobo.com/ The call rang once and the free service endorsed by FTC 2013 award prevented the illegal telemarketing call from being answered by me or by voice mail as a ****-up. Call centers invoice the carriers through monthly tariffs for connecting calls either answered by your voice mail or a human being ... Reason why majority of calls are ****-ups! He wanted access to my computer, he did have a heavy Indian accent. Said my computer was being hacked. Imagine his surprise when I told him I don't have a computer.
This number called me 2x and a person with a heavy Indian accent told me that my computer had been compromised and that peoples are able to access my network. She wanted me to walk through steps to stop this. I ***g up on her and email our local news to research
I got a call twice from this company claiming that they are from Microsoft. The gentleman's name was James Wright. But he had a heavy Indian accent (Red Flag #1). He claims that my computer's Norton Anti-Virus as well as the event logs are rapidly creating errors and warnings and is being sent to them. He wanted to give me step by step instructions on how to stop this. His first step was for me to turn on my computer (Red Flag #2). First off, I don't have Norton Anti-Virus (Red Flag #3). Secondly, how does a computer produce event logs and sends them to Microsoft when it hasn't been turned on in the past two days (Red Flag #4)? They decided to scam the wrong person. I promptly called him a liar, advised that he should drink a bleach martini and ***g up. It absolutely shocks me that this SAME exact person called me a***n and tried to scam me a***n 6 hours later. And when they call, they don't actually call you. A ma****e dials you in after you have picked up (Red Flag #5).
