They left a message saying that there was su****ious activity on my Amazon account and that I had been charged $1,499. They instructed me to call back to sort things out with the “Amazon fraud department.” Sounded fake, but wanted to make sure. So I called back and it was very clearly not Amazon.

Trouble processing my payment ($99.00).

I ***g up after she said*****o this is Vanessa from the service center. Fairly certain it was a scam. Thought it might be one of the car scams. We’ve been getting a ton of those by mail.

Didn't say the company name. Said it was regarding a federal tax mater and that this was their final attempt to contact me.

This is a 'fight the IRS' tax lien telemarketer. leaves a threatening sounding message to make it seem like a tax collector is calling. stuff like 'this is the last time i will call before this matter escalates' yada yada
