In fairness 'RM' that response is pretty harsh.  As you seem to be so well educated you should know that the DNC register covers "any unsolicited calls from a business" Burke inc may very well be a market research company and not a telemarketing company, they are still a private company who do business for profit and not for charity.  The Do not call refers to any anonymous calls from a 'business' which even your angry temperament should agree 'burke inc' are.I request that you withdraw yout statement and apologise to the author of the previous postAlso there are rules involved in most forum's and in arguments in general.  Some of these rules include personal attacks on other posters,  I deplore your use of 'you *****' and 'ignorant SOB'.Seeing as the original poster was in fact correct, it appears that both you and Burke Inc both broke the rules.  Its such a shame that you made a fool of yourself aggressivley defending the party whom was in the wrong.  To me you are offensive but amusing a bit like Chris Rock

First, Burke Inc. is not a telemarketing company, they are a research company. There is a difference. A telemarketing company tries to SELL you things, in order to get your money, and a research company asks you questions, in order to get your opinions. The Burke Inc. employee was politely trying to explain so****ing to you, but your ignorant-son-of-a-b**** self couldn't keep from blabbing false statements.This brings me to my second point. Do some F***ing research on the Do Not Call registry. If the following were true: "ANY call to me is a violation of the Do NOT Call federal registry," then a call from your mom, dad, mother, brother, sister, aunt, cousin, son, or daughter would also be a violation of the DNC registry. In which case, you should probably just disconnect your phone, you *****. The DNC registry does apply to telemarketers, but it does not apply to research companies. Reporting legit companies, like Burke Inc., that have been in business for over 80 years to DNC.gov is a waste of our taxpayers money. It's a waste of money because a government employee is being paid to sit at a desk and investigate your complaint. They are wasting their time on your ****** complaint, when they could actually be *****ing down on s***bags who are viciously selling products to the elderly.

Has called the last couple of nights between 7-8 pm. I answered the phone today and they ***g up on me. They don't leave a message when I don't answer the phone.

These people called me tonight. I answered because I have been getting WAY too many telemarketer calls lately. It seems that there is a recent decision by all of these vermin to simply ignore the Do NOT Call federal registry.I answered and the guy told me that he is with "Burke Inc" and that he was a market researcher. I stopped him and said that I am registered with Do NOT Call. He said "oh no. I'm not trying to sell anything. I am just doing market research on soda pop." I stopped him a***n and said "ANY call to me is a violation of the Do NOT Call federal registry. Remove me from your list, and do NOT call a***n!"I then reported Burke Inc to Do Not Call.gov

Received a call from this # . Burke Inc. call center by the sound of it. Claims they are exempt from the Do Not Call list with a standard scripted answer of non-profits, political parties etc. I requested they do not call a***n and remove me from their list. We will see.
