Sent to VM, the call was silent for over a minite before it dropped. Legit allers or automated systems would leave a message. Consider it SPAM.

Bot said someone had an appointment and would receive a call today.

There was no one at the other end, just total silence. I ended up hanging up. However, I do have an SSA phone appointment for tomorrow, so this may be a legitimate SSA call as others have noted. I do not know.

This is NOT a scam number. I have a phone appointment with Social Security and it was a call to remind me of that. People need to stop saying that SS will not call you. They certainly will if you have an appointment!

It was a robo caller informing me of an appointment. LEGIT S/S told me that the call would come the day before so Id take the message before deleting it.

I don't think this feels legit.

This call, they put on my answering machine about prescriptions and wanted me to call another number or go online to Social Security.com. Social Security will not call you. I am also on the Do Not Call list, but yet they still call. They also did not call me by my first name. I did not recognize the phone number so they left me the message.

I see different responses in this information request. I now believe it was Social Security with the telephone appt that I have with them tomorrow morning. [Based on the bulk of the replies in this website.] I heard the phone ringing when I was in the supermarket and didn't get to it in time. I claimed aloud that hell, I don't know anybody in Texas and put it away.

Nothing said, my machine picked up the call and then they immediately 'private number' called me with my own spoofed number. When I tried to call back it said I needed to dial the number with the correct prefix followed by seven digits. :-/

Someone called me from that number&i called back and it said check the#.i don't know who it was and I have never lived or been to Texas.

This call was from Texas— I am not from Texas nor is my appointment with social security in Texas- this was just a reminder call for the appointment with options if you wanted to cancel or reschedule. Not spam.

I received 2 calls and they left a message about a form they sent me on prescription drug coverage that wasn't returned. I was instructed to call Social Security at 800-772-1213, there was a 40 minute wait time, so then I then returned the caller's call at 972-497-1400 but couldn't get through as if it was a wrong number, I will report this number to the SS Inspector General at 800-269-0271!!!

They called to remind me I have a appointment locally tomorrow... which I do have scheduled. They gave the time of the appointment and date accurately on my cell voicemail (I didn't answer the phone call itself)

They said they were from Baltimore, but the number is from Texas! Also, I’d get a letter from the DSS if I had a review!

I pay my phone bill not these scammers. Isn't there anything we can do to stop this craziness!!! Why can't there be a law make about these robocalls. I am on the don not call list, but it doesn't help!!

It must be a scam if they told you all they were from SSA and told us they were from Az unemployment. Why would an Az agency use a Texas number. Dont be fooled
