Leave a CommentIt is a real number. Not a spammer. The correctional facilities use them. So it may show up as a Texas number but that is just so it don't show up as a private number. usually at least in Utah your caller ID will show it as added value.
Is this a landline for Utah inmates in there county jail?
I got a call from this number today from an inmate in Waymart Correctional Facility.
I keep getting a call saying its from a correctional facility but doesn't say which one and who is making them and they are calling my cell phone.
Called me at 6am saying someone I knew was trying to contact me from jail... my contact list is a grand 11 people long and all 11 are accounted for. They wanted my credit card information.
how do i know where the person is calling from
its a main line that jails normally use as their caller ids so it doesnt come up blocked

CRAZY! I got a call this evening stating from City of Mesa Jail and it was a collect call from an inmate. then it s****s to say so****ing else, and then I hear my ex's name, with his voice, as if he was collect calling. It then went on to say so****ing that I missed but that I could call an 800 number. My friend interrupted in conversation, so I ***g up rather then continue listening.
I got the same call today and established an account****uming that was the new way calls would be made from the SC prisons. I regularly correspond with a lady who is incarcerated and sometimes she calls. At the end of the call it said to **** up to process the transaction. I****umed that I would soon here from my friend and that an attempted call generated the request. Now I am not sure as she has not called. The request sounded reasonable since the prison has handled calls with a credit line before. I will be calling the prison headquarters tomorrow to see if they are using this group. If not will probably cancel my card. The Texas area code did not bother me at the time as I****umed it was a contract agency handling the phone calls. Now I am worried that someone has gotten a listing of peple getting calls from the prisons and scamming for credit card numbers.
i got a call from this number and it said an inmate from my local jail wanted to speak with me but i had to add minutes because my account was empty and it asked for my credit card info and when i was done entering it all the call ***g up
Message stated "A collect call from a correctional facility." 972 area code leads to Texas and I am no we're near Texas nor do I know anyone from there.
