Leave a CommentShe also left a message for me from the same #, and when I called back, she was ambiguous regarding the call, but offered $ for my accident, that was a bike gettig hit by a car, she didn't know that, but it was clear they were an ambulance chasing law firm that also had a *****ge clinic included. I gave up.
They are scammers/ambulance chasers. I was in a severe auto accident last week, and a representative from this firm named Michelle contacted me. She knew my first and last name as well as my home number (where she called.) From her initial voicemail, she led me to believe she was a representative from my insurance company, Liberty Mutual. I returned her call after business hours expecting to just leave a message. When she answered, I was surprised. She claimed she was just working late. Upon calling her back, I became skeptical about her legitimacy when she dodged questions about her employer (not Liberty Mutual). She then tried to ask about the insurance adjustor's appraisal about my totaled car and if I was injured. She offered me law services and therapy rehabilitation services. She also claimed to have reviewed my Accident Report from the police department, when in fact I know this information has not been released yet, as my own insurance agent has not received this information. After I continued to question her, I suppose she knew I was cat****g on to her game, and she ***g up on me. Looking at the caller ID, it was apparent that she had called from a personal cell phone. I tried calling her back for more answers, but she ignored my calls. Her voicemail was so ambiguous as she identified herself with the "Claims Department of Accident Services Division".....um..okay? With what company?! She is trying to fool us. I also Googled her telephone number and according to websites like http://whocallsme.com/ and http://800notes.com/, it appears Michelle has been in business since 2008 and everyone who left comments on there had the same stories as me. Michelle is a definite ambulance chaser trying to make money off my unfortunate traffic accident. Bery sketchy indeed. Proceed with caution.
Received the same type of call Today, 12/22/2010... Talked about American Collision and also about Lawyer & Chiropractic & getting money back on car repair + other items... When I asked how they got my number... She said she found the number from car accident reports... She is even willing to drive far where we live from Carrollton...We were involved in a car accident only 2 days back i.e. on 12/20/2010 and I am yet to see the insurance adjusters, etc.... Not sure who is selling the info what... Talked to Farmers ***nch Police department and looks like you can not purchase the report until you know the name and report number and they are not selling personal info to others...If any one taken the services from her, we like to know the entire experiences....It smells fishy and so thought to check out...Thanks... I typed Michelle's phone number incorrectly. It should have been 972-537-7731 in the first post.
Received a voicemail from a Michelle today from the "claims department of accident services" asking for another family member his first name. She said she had a couple of questions for him about his accident. Although he had been in an accident recently, so****ing didn't seem right about the call. For one thing...how did she get MY cell phone number? I did a reverse look up on the phone number she called from and found that it was a cell phone. No one will be returning her call!
some kind of message about collision last week, which didn't happen. ignored.
Got the call today from Michelle. Called back and she says she's representing a collision center in Carrolton who will "rebate" between $300 and $500 to you for using them after your insurance company has paid them. Don't know about the legality of this. Then she offered a referral to an attorney if I had had a stiff neck, headache, etc....Said no thanks, and ***g up.
I did have a car accident last week. Yes****ay I received a call from someone named Michelle (last name could have been Pinto; it was hard to make out), claiming she was from the Claims Department of the Accident Services Division (how generic can you get?!), and wanting to know whether an adjustor from the other driver's insurance company has contacted me yet to inspect my car. I won't be returning her call.I also received a call from a Jennifer (calling from 800-819-2006), claiming to be from the Dallas Claims****istance department. She said she would be helping me through the claims process and could answer any questions I have. When I googled the phone number, it turns out it's actually a San Antonio accident attorneys firm (a.k.a. ambulance chaser). Scary.
My wife called me at work stating that she just received a call while shewas in the shower. The female voice on the answering ma****e stated that she was Michelle Pinto from the Claims Department of Accident Services Division. This of course being an obscure****ertion to being****ociated withno company in particular. Apparently she wanted to know if I had anyone comeout to inspect the damage on my vehicle yet? A***n, a ***ue inquiry that feels more like someone who might be on a "fishing expedition" to catch any confidential information that can be retrieved...for what purpose? Who knows.Personally, I would like to know if she happens to work for or on behalf ofGeico. Is anyone, who is receiving calls from this "Michelle", currently engaged in any dealings with Geico? Could be wrong; could be so****ing else.
Im getting the same calls saying my husband was in as accident, and they are calling my son and daughters cell phone. When I dont give out any information she says she has the wrong number. She called me December 2008 and March 2009
Same Michelle called me re: an accident that I was involved in as a passenger. She also mentioned a Fredrick in her vmail. I don't know any Fred's or Fredrick. I didn't return her call.
I had the same experience. Someone named Michelle called me and was asking about an accident that I was involved in..there was no accident. When i pressed for further information she ***g up on me. She not only had my phone number, but also knew my name.
Woman left a message on my cell and knew my name, claiming that I was in an accident and wanted to make sure the appraiser had been out. I called the number back (by the way she is calling from a cell phone) she answered it as Michelle and I could hear other phones ringing in the background. So why would she be using her cell phone if she is in some sort of call center? I would not give her my name since she had originally called me, I did give her the number that she called and informed her that I was not in an accident. She claims that she must have the wrong number then. Hopefully someone could shed some light on what the REAL story is behind this number.
I got a call from 1-972-537-7731 on 8/12/08 and 8/1/08. A message was left on 8/1/08 about someone reporting a collision. The message left stated they were an insurance company.
