I too have been getting non stop calls from a lady.  If I call back, I get an automated message.  I tried calling 973-808-7400, and a man answered but he said he knew nothing about this and gave me a toll free number to call:  1800-909-0399.  Hopefully it works.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!  At least that's what I'm told.  I called the 973-808-7400 number someone else mentioned and told the person I've got this new cell number and am receiving these ****-up calls from 973-233-6896 and don't even know what they are in reference to.  The guy says it should take a couple of days for it to be unregistered and I won't receive anymore calls.  Good job "P. Bear" if this works!!!

Like everybody on this list I can't stand receiving these two every single day calls from this number anymore!!So, I just filed a complaint with NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.Go to www.donotcall.gov  and register your phone number there.

I get called by this number everyday with a spanish speaking person or kids in the background.  They **** up when I answer or don't leave a message.  When I call back a computer asks for my credit card number.  Following another person's link here I called the number 973-808-7400 (Community Support) and asked them if they were****ociated with 973-233-6896?  She said (in English)yes. Was I looking for work?  I told her no and I'm tired of getting these calls.  She said she'd put me on the do not call list- so we'll see.

what in the world. i get two to three phone calls from them, they use my name then when i do not speak Portuguese they **** up. i want off their list. has anyone *****ed this mystery of how?!!!

This number calls me everyday! Sometimes I answer it and it makes a sound like my phone battery died, i hear like a second of a voice then they **** up! Is there any way to block the number or so****ing? It's getting really annoying.

Beware. They try to get you credit card number. I'm from ***zil and I know that the accent is ***zilian

This number called my home phone, speaking in Portuguese, and calling me by the name... Unbelievable... I didn't answer...

I am also getting calls from this number.  I actually tried calling the number back to complain.  I got an automated system that asked me to enter my credit card number.

These people call and call and call over and over a***n. This has been going on for months. If I answer, I get either a Spanish speaking female voice, a ringing or a buzzing. I no longer answer the phone when this shows up on the caller ID.

Answered phone; heard "ringing signal" (the sound callers get when the phone they are calling is actually ringing).  Woman with Portuguese or ***zilian accent answered after one ring, called me by my first name, and asked me (in Portuguese) if I speak Portuguese.  I asked in English "You are calling from Newark, NJ.  Why should we speak Portuguese?"  I ***g up after about five seconds of silence.
