Police fund raiser.. Auto answer if you call back..

If they call a***n, just tell the person "Can you put this number on your Do Not Call list?  Thanks."  If they continue to call, they can be reported and hopefully fined.  This goes for any soliciting calls, other than those companies with whom you already have an existing relationship.

So far I've been getting 13 seconds calls and ****ups from this number as well.If it's truly the Police Athletic League, they ought to get their money backThey solicit me by telephone every so often and from the first I called my local police department to determine if it was a legitimate fundraiser. They answered yes - but none of the police departments where we lived benefit from that organization. So I tell them no, I'll support the locals and take my name off the list. Still they call.I REFUSE to contribute to anything solicited over the telephone. My mama taught me that it's OUR telephone for OUR use. So, we don't pay that phone bill to subsidize some salesperson who interrupts our dinner because s/he is too lazy to put so****ing we can read in the mail.

Yes to all your questions.  This IS the Police Athletic League of NJ.  They are calling for donations.  Well, actually, this is a company that is hired by the PAL to do their fund raising for them.

The call wanted to know who is the man or the lady in the house. He is very rude.

Just called me, a sultry female voice asked for me by first name. Me  "Who is calling?" her "Linda"me  "Linda who?"her "Linda Smith"me  "and what is this in regards to?"her "the children's program..."then a long long silence... **** up...What if my wife picked up the phone?  :-)

same problem here guys....this # has called me for the past 3 days....ive called it back and the voice message/recording says, THIS IS THE POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE OF NJ AUTOMATED INFORMATION SYSTEM. OUR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS ARE UNDER WAY AND WE'LL BE CALLING BACK YOU BACK TO EXPLAIN THE PROGRAMS WE HAVE FOR YOU THIS YEAR................................. 800-298-7216 CUSTOMER INFORMATION CENTER# TO CALL IF YOU NEED FURTHER INFORMATION..............so my suggestion is to call the above # i listed for you and tell them to take you off of there telemarketing call list.

I got the same problem, 4 calls between 10/23/09-10/29/09. ***!!!  All either 13 or 14 seconds long.  I established a new phone number, maybe it's a telemarketer scam of some sort?

Caller ID just said South Orange NJ. That's 2 towns away from me, but I don't know who this is. No message.

calls and does not leave messages. I am on the do not call registry and my number is non published.

Keep getting calls from this number, they leave no message just ****e up. When I called the number back it said the number I have reached is disconnectd.
