The text I received said “hey”. It’s a new SCAM. They pretend to be a friend. If you ask “who is this?” They are obviously not gonna reply cause the scam already occurred. You’re the product. If you respond they now know: 1 this is an active # 2 that it’s a cell phone 3 you’re GULLIBLE

The text said “hey”. The spammers do this to see if it’s an active text number if you reply. It’s from a number that is listed as a landline by number guru so how can a landline text? VOIP or voice over internet protocol. it’s a scam to see if you reply, then they can sell your number on a list to both legitimate and illegitimate co as an active number (they only get paid for active numbers.
