The number belongs to this company: Artech Information Systems L.L.Cwww.arte****fo.comDo not know if it is a scam or not.  I wouldn't be giving out your S/N to anyone.

I'm a recruiter and normally we don't just ask for Social security information unless we have a specific job and the client requires it to submit the candidate's resume.  If they are just asking for it for no reason, then be concerned but it IS True that sometimes we need to get that # to proceed.

This is a scam and no REAL recruiter will ask you for your social security number to proceed. Don't give out your social security number or any other personal information. The "recruiter" who called me was David Her.

Called me demanding my ssn and when I wouldn't give it told me that they would "look it up and call me back." Scam or not, I am reporting them to the BBB. You don't talk to people like that and you don't need to give out your ssn for a job OFFER.

a head ***ting company out on the east coast. they saw your resume somewhere. Most of these recruiters are subbed from India.

People, ignore it and ***g up. This has Iden***y Theft and ignorance written all over. Recruiter does not ask about personal information like this. Check HR books - for US of A that is, not for India or ****stan.

I got this call, picked it up and the person on the other side listened, then ***g up about 5 seconds later... super sketchy
