Just wasted 2 weeks on this pile... same as everyone else. Since my car was financed, I told him to send the check directly to Mercedes Benz Financial. Mercedes told me they never received anything. I did not give him any personal info, Not sure what the scam is here... what's the end game?
This guy pulled the exact same situation as the other posters: Tried buying a vehicle I had posted on autotrader.com. Asked for me to contact him using email address [email protected]. Same story as everyone else. Why hasnt AutoTrader blocked this guy and taken his account down? Is this not that why we all paid for an Ad instead of having to deal with the same thing we would get on marketplace or Craigsscam?
Same as above, don't trust this guy, or whoever.

Tried buying a vehicle I had posted on autotrader.com. Asked for me to contact him using email address [email protected]. Gave me his address as 908 Braden Cv. Jacksonville, AR. The check was from Farmers and Merchants Bank of Long Beach, it was a business check that was also a “Certified Check”, and that’s what gave the immediate impression that this was definitely a scam.
Happened to me too. I insisted he send me a copy of his driver's license. Was from Arkansas. Seemed suspicious from day one - and it was through an AutoTrader ad. Email was [email protected].

Mike Arnold tried to play the same game with me. I gave him my number, but no other info. I told him if he wanted to by the car It would have to go through Autotrader. IF he had to send me a check I would cash the check 1st before I sent him the title. I did not see this post before I emailed him. I did not give him any info at all. Looks like I need to block him
